Excels in its moody portrayals and intrigue, although confusion with plot points occasionally distracts. You won't find a much bigger Keitel fan than me, but not even the actor's patented brand of wide-eyed lunacy can save this one. If you've got a tired story, hide it under some gorgeous scenery by setting the film in an exotic locale.

At the start, the movie Shadow Dancer opened with a young guy played by Joshua Jackson getting ready to go to work in busy London. Then the movie progressed to Italy and when Claire Forlani popped up with her sexy eyes in the movie, it became more interesting.

I liked her acting from Meet Joe Black. Harvey Keitel played a burned out famous writer who did not want to see any publishers. Joshua Jackson task was to visit Keitel and see if he could make him write again and signed up a contract with him. Now this is a double 'eh'. I don't even know why I rented this one. I knew it wasn't going to be any good anyway. Well let's see your typical love story Frankly, the girl Linda Forlani was the actress who I started to dislike ever since Joe Black was a slut. She slept with him just so she could see what it was like? Let me tell you about Israeli airport security. Okay, sure, I have a schvatz of more interesting experiences to relate, as I am currently in Jerusalem, but this one clings to my mind like a yarmulka in a windstorm.

My passport was double- and triple-taked before I was waved over to a music stand, where the Israeli security 'conductor' began her badgering.

What happens next was an amusing defragmentation of my previous several hours, days, weeks, including the assorted tiny histories of each knick-knack and paddywhack I had in my packs.

I was an excellent storyteller, a funny one, but my charms, even on low voltage, would not mollify the determined, humorless visage of this female character. I mean, could she be any more Jewish? I recited family histories, travel histories, the well-versed and humbling history of my extreme note-taking ticks, the true history of the ink pens I had with me, the history of Honduras after , the unsurpassable history of the lint in my dangfangled bags!

He wrote this song as a remembrance of his addiction. He almost lost it and he can tell you how to do the same. I believe after he sobered up his marriage was safe. Its a terribly sad song with hope. I am sure faith and love were two things that he felt saved by. Once upon a time I was of the mind To lay your burden down And leave you where you stood And you believed I could You'd seen it done before I could read your thoughts Tell you what you saw And never say a word But now all that is gone Over with and done Never to return Then one of the two was lost to a death or some other cause and the one that was left just felt that there was nothing left to live for and became lifeless, and as for being the shadow on the sun, to me that means when others look at that person all they see is something that could have been brighter but became a shadow due to the loss that was suffered.

It's about sorrow and guilt. I don't think he's afraid to die alone, he is almost resigned to it. I think he realizes that the pain tore who He was in two and his memories are bolted within the person he can never be. Just my opinion of the song i guess I liked everyone elses ideas it really opens my eyes to how everyone hears a song in there own way. General Comment this song invokes passion from me Like an inner pain to a point where tears form But this song to me is about how life doesn't always go the right way and it gets to the point that you don't feel you belong that you're going crazy and that no matter what in the end you'll be alone The part that reassures this idea of mine is "every drop of flame, lights a candle in, memory of the one, who lived inside my skin" life has gotten to the point that you're not yourself That you have changed and that you remember who you were and morn for that loss of self.
