There are some authors that get it, and then there are some authors who don't. I hope you know what I mean with "that get it". The book is an easy read, not too technical and very much down to earth. While an CEO will definitely find a lot of value on it, I also believe there are a lot of clever, value-added pieces of advice for a more technical audience, who also needs to do a better job at understanding the business. Happy to have bought it, stays within reach at my desk now. Jose's simple, effective approach is evident in this book. I really like the leadership actions, which gives you exactly what you need to do.

Also the summary at the end of each chapter is nicely done too. Lot of companies go through small ideas syndrome without even realizing that they are going through it, the book explains as how a company can get out of the small ideas syndrome.

As the book reckons, its uncomfortable to change the course but once you change the course, the result will speak for itself. Overall easy read, with to the point content. Highly recommend this book. Comfortable reading, clear principles, a very useful tool not only for IT professionals but also for other disciplines.

The book covers a range of topics, including overcoming business uncertainty, living in a VUCA world Volatile, Uncertain, Challenging, and Ambiguous and measuring business success as a creator of value. This book is both thought provoking and helpful. What a book, very easy to read but with powerful business insights. From my perspective, this is a book not only for the "C-level" or IT professionals but for any high potential or any employee with an aspiration to grow their careers.

I also found a lot of "frameworks" that can be applied to different situations, it is a great combination of academic insights with practical application. Probably the biggest learning for me is understanding from Jose Ignacio's vast experience why "feeling uncomfortable" in actually healthy for our development. This book should definitely be shared and discussed with professionals at all levels.

I am looking forward to Jose Ignacio's upcoming books. My only recommendation is having this book localized in Spanish and other languages. Enjoy the reading, you will get tons of insights Get to Know Us.
