Traders World

You can easily go to both places in a day. You can go thru Lebanon and wind around to get to Caesar's Creek, which is like the sister flea market to Turtle, which is located on That is really the flea market I prefer.

You can rent outdoor space very reasonably when the weather is nice outside- usually for 3 days- F-S-S. I use to sell salesman samples at Traders World and then I've also sold personal items. Did great with samples, not so good with personal items. Before I would load up, I would go around to other vendors and see if they wanted to buy any of my stuff at a good discount, I would get some takers from the full time vendors.

  • Be sure to sell your alike stuff to alike vendors There is a lot of junk that is sold here. People need to be savvy when making purchases these days. A lot of sports jerseys are sold here, and you can find the same item for alot cheaper on ebay. Shopping on ebay is great because you don't have to spend gas money on getting there and the items are significantly less in price. Just some friendly advice. While I can't tell you which one I prefer, because I don't care for flea markets, what I can tell you is that if you go on a nice weekend, they are busy, busy, busy!!

If it is raining or windy, they aren't as bad.

    Treasure Hunting at Traders World

Turtle Creek, as other posters have mentioned, is much smaller and has a lot of outdoor vendors when the weather is nice. Traders World is HUGE and has air conditioning in most if not all of the of the wings but I can't say I ever found anything that I would spend an enormous amount of money on, because most vendors are over-priced. And then of course after your finished you can visit the Hustler store right across the street and then the Touchdown Jesus!! Traders World what time can come in to set up Saturday loney , can I get a spot in the first coverd building thats open out side and what does it cost for one day and do you send the money in before Saturday or do you pay the day you set up.

When I went to Trader's World, it looked like all of the booths inside were "permanent" booths run by businesses that had a certain niche kind of items that they were selling.

    Featured Hotels

There were several empty booths but I think that they are intended for long term renters. The only place one-time, yard-sale kind of stuff from regular people like you'd see at a traditional swap meet were outside in the parking lot. There were some under shade but these seemed like larger operations although not as professional as those inside the buildings.

    Flea Markets in Dayton

Most small-time family sellers simply laid their stuff out in the parking lot on the ground or on card tables with no covering from the sun or rain. Traders World in my opinion is the more upscale flea market. Both places have the more like yard sale items and both places have the permanent vendors. Alot of those vendors are now located outside. Last week-end I believe all the under cover spots were taken, probably by the people displaced by the fire. Want a real flea market. Or go to Whites in Brookville Indiana on Wednesday. Both markets are true flea markets and not wanna be malls like Traders world and Turtle creek.

Richwood has a whopping 8 foot isle. Real nice if you are trying to push a baby stroller or something. Some has food, pet supplies and I get all my work gloves from a family owned business for under half what you pay at Lowes or Home depot. They carry every kind of glove Almost out there. Not 20 like lowes. Jerseys, rubber palm etc for half. This weekend they came inside for the winter in isle 6.

This was my first job and it taught me what it was like to work in a flee market. It is an experience that showed me that I wish to work hands on with customers and provide the best help that I can. Was this review helpful? Good Partime Job it. Most of the employees are teenagers their 1st jobs the hardest part of the job is dealing with un happy customers.

    • Terrible place to work. This place is a horrible place to work. They treat you like dirt and try to get away with not paying you and they will cut your hours. The two bosses are literal witches. It was fun to work at Traders World because there were many different people coming over to buy materials. Loved working with people there.
