I was in a 6 weeks class. Mark Shepherd is amazing!

I am taking him for a 6 week summer class which are hard enough on their own and the entire time he has been clear about what he expects from us. He is understanding, caring and genuine! Always has a smile on his face. Made learning the subject fun, even if you weren't interested in the major. Our class did not have a textbook, instead two environmental books were used as the curriculum. This class was definitely one of my favorites in college; it's unlike any other science class.

Read the chapters and you will be fine. Will count only 4 tests since the lower one will be dropped. The professor is very respectful, he seems to be very passionate about what he is teaching.

Revelation

His blog is very informative if you are into environmental stuff. Course is not very hard; 5 online exams and lowest exam grade is dropped. No papers, projects, or discussion boards. The professor didn't always respond to emails, no follow-through on some class announcements, and exams were problematic answers marked wrong that were actually correct. Class schedule did not factor in a Spring break.

Took Mark's class yes, he prefers Mark to Prof. Shepherd in summer school. Intro to Environmental Science. Great and funny lectures. He can get off topic sometimes but in a good way.
