The Passion Series

And it is amazing how well the songs fit the particular scenes. I had never heard of Jencarlos portraying Jesus before watching this program. He was a real revelation. A modern take to the story of the Passion. I watched this movie live as it aired last year and loved it. Music, acting, location, everything! I was hoping to see it again this year but no luck, so I ordered a copy.

The Passion

The DVD is actually better, because it does not have all of the street interviews that the live version had. I bought it, watched it, and enjoyed it just as much. I gave it to the church so the teens in the religious ed classes could see it. I plan to borrow it back every year as I prepare for Easter. Watching Jencarlos Canela playing Jesus, I imagined Jesus must have been also a likable, approachable, but serious young man with a huge vision and genuinely good heart. And it is overwhelming that such a man had to pay the price for our sins and die so young People never realized who he really was.

He looked like just a common man. This show makes us realize the Son of God could be anybody on the street, on TV, or even in your family, if he lived in our time! Judas, Peter, Pilate, even Mary can be you and me! But I think it's very important to know God is working in our lives right now, just as dramatically as thousands of years ago. It's up to us if we make mistakes again and again, or become "heroes. Played using the DVD -movie software that came free with my Dell.

Some unique takes on characters. Cross scene and Emmaus story well done. Ending of Jesus walking away into a crowd was not biblical but very thoughtful. Jesus portrayed with gritty authenticity. A movie for adults and teens, not children. One person found this helpful.

Love, Love, Love it!!! We watched on TV and shared with relatives who also loved this moving passion play. We lost the recording due to equip change and I was so sad. But you just put this out on DVD and I am thrilled.

We will enjoy this for many years to come. I was expecting the same video that we saw live on television.

A great deal was edited out. He helped carry the cross and was part of the crowd with Tyler Perry. Reuben has since died and I wanted copies to provide to his children. In his version, Deasy wanted to "draw Jesus down into the world more as a human character who is frustrated, angry, fearful and doubtful, and who doesn't have what is almost a mask of humanity, but is truly human. Following his appointment as writer, Deasy spent the next year researching the gospels in Israel and consulting Goodacre.

Drawing on what he had learned from Jesus of Nazareth , Deasy chose to portray Jesus as the "human character" in Matthew and Mark , rather than the god-like figure in John. He also incorporated Jesus's relationship with women as written in Luke. In it, a peasant coming to Passover in Jerusalem is frightened when he comes across the disciples, because they've been in the desert or in Galilee for two years.

They've been sleeping out and they appear slightly intimidating to him. It attempts to introduce a world in which Christianity didn't yet exist and these precepts and concepts that are so familiar to us now, were startlingly new and really exploded on the scene during this crucial week. Deasy and Stafford-Clark were also interested in opening up the story beyond the "vacuum" in which they believe other depictions of the week are set.

They did this by expanding the roles of Caiaphas and Pilate beyond mere "panto villains", and examining the politics of Judea at the time; Deasy explained that it was "much more rich to see Caiaphas as a flawed human being". He was cast in May and prepared for the role by reading "the Gospels, research papers, medical documents, endless books and prayers". By chance, the two met in the toilets at Gatwick Airport when Powell was going on holiday with his family and Mawle was leaving for Morocco to film The Passion. He initially did not want the part, but took it when his agent told him that Stafford-Clark was the producer; Nesbitt had enjoyed his version of Bleak House.

He played Pilate as "a cold, hard warrior", and was inspired—by the peace in Ireland—to play him Irish. Of playing Mary, she said, "I was looking at her journey, who this person was and her relationship to Jesus. And looking at her as a woman and her predicament. Production was based at the Atlas Studios in Morocco. Principal photography took place from 27 August to 23 October. The scene was filmed over three days and was frequently interrupted by torrential downpours. Mawle's make-up call came at 3.

As he carried the cross over the sand, Mawle imagined the pain and exhaustion Jesus felt when he did it. I couldn't finish reading this book because there didn't seem to be a plot. It starts off as a man seeing a woman he thought was attractive and them instantly having sex. If you're wanting to read straight erotica without a plot, this is for you. If you actually want a story line and interaction before the erotica, this isn't for you. A well-written series with a good story and characters to fall for.

Heather is a very talented artist who feels unsure of herself thanks to a previous abusive relationship. Ryan is one the hottest leading men in Hollywood and owner a very successful business but he was looking to escape the falseness of Hollywood and the women. It seemed every woman he was involved with had an agenda and he wanted more. A chance meeting sometime ago he couldn't get her out of his head and Ryan knew that there was something special about her.

After their night together uncertaint Heather is a very talented artist who feels unsure of herself thanks to a previous abusive relationship. After their night together uncertainty creeps up and Heather runs. Not accepting no for an answer Ryan makes her realize that he wants her and does everything to let her know that. Just when it seems that she believes him Heather looks at her beautiful co star and figures she good never measure up.

As their love for each other grows so does her inspiration. She is presented with an opportunity that will tear them apart though a jealous ex would love nothing more than to see her fail, she excels. He relocates with her unbeknownst to her and does everything to support her success. I didn't like every time she ran he had to reassure her that she was everything he wanted. It seems even though the ex is out the way the seeds he planted always come out.

I gotta love Ryan for his patience and for feeling like someone like Heather is worth. Who wants to spend their entire relationship explaining to them why you are with that person because you want them to be? I think once he settles into his role as full time CEO Heather won't feel so much apprehension.

She would soon realize that they're in love despite people coming between them no one ever can. I mean how many guys will make that many sacrifices in the last minute to be with the woman they love. I say he's a keeper and I hope that Heather can let go of her insecurities and realize that. Feb 08, Purpleduck rated it it was ok Shelves: This story had potential at the beginning but was lost a few chapters in.

The sex sense were very detailed but the rest of the story was very lacking. I had troubles following the point of view as the story was being told as well. Not every character needs to have their point of view told.

Ada Passion Series - Love

Sadly I struggled to finish this book but I did it. Started of really good with Heather and Ryan attraction and how they both can't control themselves around each other. But i felt like the book lost its story when the ex-boyfriend got involved as their wasn't much about him and heather's passed relationship. Maybe if their was a story behind it. It might of made more sense about why he didn't like heather's art work.

Also I got confused about what Ryan had found out about the ex-boyfriend that made him back down. Would of been good to know what Started of really good with Heather and Ryan attraction and how they both can't control themselves around each other. Would of been good to know what it was.

See a Problem?

I felt the series wasn't long enough and lack sufficient information. If Emily has expanded to story line about both Ryan and Heather's ex-partners and had put an epilogue in for the final ending then it would of got 5 starts. But as I said it has lacked in the build up of characters and story line. The only great thing about this series is the passion between the main characters. Where is the story?

The Passion Series

If you are looking for 95 percent smut you have come to the right book. But if you want a good story with some hot sex scenes to make it more interesting then keep looking. In this book the sex scene are for sure very erotic but they monopolize the book so much that there is no story. It was just annoying!!! It was very easy to put down. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay anything for this trash. Now, don't get me wrong I love good hot erotic sex scene but good grief put some Where is the story? Now, don't get me wrong I love good hot erotic sex scene but good grief put some story in there too.

It was also too predictable, no twist, and no mystery. Really a dull predictable limited story with way too much sex, I didn't know that was possible but this author did it. I will not be reading anymore from this author. This was the first series I read by Emily Trent. I enjoyed the series. This was a steamy page turner. The scenes were indeed passionate and HOT!
