Jane thinks Charles Dickens could be a potential ally in a rescue cause. Sophia says she's made a huge mistake, but before she can explain, a guard walks in.

Punished, as a Boy

Jane and Sophia are escorted to a board room of officers. Lady Jane demands a rescue place be put in place. Sir James Ross promises that if no word comes back by , "I shall go and search myself. On Erebus, Henry Goodsir observes the Marines portrait he took just before Franklin was attacked, then takes out photos of Sergeant David Bryant's corpse and studies the wounds. Jopson mentions their spoiled canned food may be due to lead poisoning. Gun shots are fired up on deck. On deck, Private Heather lies on his back, part of his skull ripped away by the bear.

The bear has also taken Strong. Crozier puts together a search party. A young ship boy, Thomas Evans, volunteers to join. Evans accompanies Crozier out on the ice, separate from the other men in the search party. They hear a huff from over a pressure ridge. Crozier climbs up and finds Strong's jacket on the other side. The search parties return to Terror, defeated. He takes a swig of whiskey before Fitzjames suggests he cut down on drinking.

Crozier expresses cynicism over the whole expedition and crassly admits he's only a part of it because Sophia asked him to look after Franklin. Fitzjames brings up Sophia's numerous rejections and Crozier realizes Franklin shared personal matters with him. In the forecastle, Sergeant Solomon Tozer is riled up from the Marines constantly risking their lives against the bear. Up on deck, Hickey sees a figure propped up against the stern rail. Hickey sees the bear disappear in the wind. He asks Tozer for the location of Lady Silence' s camp, which was spotted during the last sledge party.

In the sick bay, Dr. Crozier orders a party be sent out in the morning to find Lady Silence, then excuses himself for a moment alone. In a flashback, at Franklin's house, Sophia tells Francis she does not wish to become a captain's wife. Back in the present, Crozier hears a commotion and makes his way up to the deck.

But when Coach D lashes out at both captain potentials for not leading their teams, emotions explode and the tears flow! All bets are off as the Dancing Dolls face off against their most formidable foe, Black Ice, in an epic grudge match! Will the team find a new strategy to bring to the battle? Later, an emergency situation sends the competition into chaos.

The Dolls are bouncing off-the-walls to prepare for a special Stand Battle that includes props and Coach D fears the routine will fail when the dancers struggle to catch onto the choreography.

Bringing It to the Big Apple

Coach D creates a female empowerment routine that she believes will rock the dance floor. But when she gets carried away, her routine quickly spirals into a minute dance marathon that exhausts the team and her lead Dancing Doll. Will the dancers overcome fatigue and confusion on the floor, or will the routine crash and burn?

Meanwhile, a few paranoid DDPs suspect Jaylene is being secretly groomed for the captain position and investigate.

Dianna finally takes Crystianna off probation and puts her to the test leading floor stands, but Crystianna fails to impress during practice. Meanwhile, a desperate Selena enlists the help of the DDP to convince Dianna to let her and the twins back in the Dollhouse. Will a potential new captain be able to get the girls in shape, or will the B-Squad crumble under pressure?

The DDP consult a Jackson psychic who has an unsettling prediction about future shake-ups in the Dollhouse. To do that, they need more information on the Inner Circle. That means going back to Wire from the first episode. That proves much harder than it should be. The Inner Circle is now especially determined to tie up any loose ends, and Wire is a big one. Good thing too, because that means Blink can put on her snarky I-told-you-so face.

Meanwhile, Graph is refusing to tell the Underground anything helpful.

He does let them know exactly what Reeva is capable of. At least everyone knows about her hostile takeover of the Hellfire club now. Caitlin Strucker has a real dark moment here. The one willing to do anything to get her son back.

Caitlin going this dark is a genuinely shocking, and the coldness with which Acker plays the part is unsettling. He finds out that they Inner Circle has taken down all the communications going in and out of the hospital.
