From Crisis to Victory!

I was actually really disappointed that I won without ever facing a real challenge besides right at the beginning of the game. I don't think my game difficulty was really low though, I think it was set on the first level that gives the AI some moderate buffs. Is this easier than what most people are playing? Also, now that I won, will the galaxy just be left in it's current state? What I mean is, if the crisis hasn't actually happened yet, can it occur if I keep playing even though I've already had the victory screen?

The crisis will still occur if you keep playing. You can even still get achievements if you care about that sort of thing. Aside showing you a quick victory screen, the game doesn't really seem to care whether you've met the criteria for victory at all. Neither do a lot of players. Most people tweak the settings until they find a combination that provides a meaningful but not overwhelming challenge.

Honestly, I don't understand how people don't win the game before the crisis on the default settings at least, unless they're doing something to handicap themselves. It takes such a long time to get to the endgame crisis, and the AI is so weak in the lategame no matter what settings you play on - I've never had the AI put up a serious fight past or so even when I give them insane buffs, and I don't know how you could go years of curbstomping the AI without winning the game in that time. As far as your question goes, yes, you can keep playing and the crisis can still happen.

The victory screen doesn't actually do anything in all honesty well, except for some achievements. Honestly, I don't understand how people don't win the game before the crisis on the default settings. If you want to put yourself to a true challenge, set difficulty to Grand Admiral and enable at least 2 or 3 advanced starts.

Hope you dont spawn next to an advanced start fanatic purifier. Also, mod the game at least a bit Glavius' AI mega mod does wonders to how well the AI handles the game.

Dont feel confident in your game skills? Step out of your comfort zone and give it a try. At least you will know what awaits you on "higher" levels. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

And yet Netanyahu buckled — buckled in record time. This week, the fiasco reached its predictable peak. After scrapping the good deal, Netanyahu tried in vain to revive a bad one. He sent an emissary to Uganda to try to persuade the authorities there to accept forcibly deported migrants. He attempted to find other African countries who might take them. He failed, and in the process embarrassed some of the very countries with which he has had such success in building relationships in recent years, undermining those ties. Ultimately, inevitably, the state found itself with no choice but to inform the Supreme Court, in its latest hearing Monday, that all intended forced deportations of African migrants were hereby canceled.

And thus a win-win arrangement, rightly, enthusiastically but only briefly adopted by the prime minister, has turned into a lose-lose turning point for Israel. The migrants of south Tel Aviv are going nowhere. The Supreme Court is under legislative attack. And, irony of ironies, none of this is helping Netanyahu, whose political foes smell blood.
