I would have to say Tori wa Words cannot describe how much I loved this book but I will try to do it justice with this review. I would have to say Tori was my favorite character in this story, she had such a hard life and you couldn't help but to root for her throughout the book and want to see her happy.

Thierry and Corbin had a strange relationship in my opinion and I say this because Corbin would tell Thierry to stay away from Torri and he would, this is the only thing that didn't sit well with me, Because Thierry says he loves Torri and you would think he would want to be with her regardless of what Corbin thinks. All in all this is a great book and I can't wait for the next installment. I received this book in exchange for a honest review from the author and LOP. Oct 19, Genie rated it it was ok Shelves: Let me be honest, I didn't finish this.

The MC Tori, or Tor as was her cutie pet nickname, was unbelievably stupid. At first I thought maybe this was a fan fiction for Twilight but I don't even think Bella was this pathetic. Thierry is a vampire as Tori discovers after breaking into his apartment while he's supposed to be out of town.

Why did she break into his apartment?

So she could sit on his couch?!? At least have him brush his teeth first.

Book Launch 1st July

Then she wants to know if vampires use the toilet He just killed someone in front of you, fucking Twit!! Then at dinner after he tells her he kills a lot of people by drinking them dry she asks if he's fed from animals. She actually gets upset because he has. Hold the hell on!!

Your upset if a squirrel dies but not a damn human?!?! This is when I had to call it quits on this sham of a book. Not to mention that they love each other after 4 days. Aug 22, Jacinda rated it it was amazing. I loved this book. It was one of the best books I've ever read. The characters we're fabulous, interesting, and very well like-able. He seems more interesting and so damaged it makes you want to cry, feel sorry for him, or hold him to maybe take his pain away. Thierry is great I like him but if he really loves Tori he wouldn't listen to Corben and stay away from her no matter what Corben says.

I need I loved this book. I need to know what happens next. The ending was shocking I never expected it I actually thought she was reincarnated of Charlotte or maybe related to her somewhere in her blood line so that she seems like her? But I can't wait for book 2 this book was really awesome and nothing like I've ever read!!! Aug 16, Steph rated it really liked it Shelves: I think the original disconnection I felt was due to the female main character, I found her to be quite immature at times for her age.

I would have thought losing her parents early, and then becoming a care giver to her elderly grandparents would have gone some way to ensuring she grew up a whole lot faster than most her age. Despite this, Tori afore mentioned female lead did grow on me as the story progressed. For fans of Vampire Diaries who love a bit of teen angst, this book is perfect for you, a solid 4 star book I really enjoyed this story.

It felt like Johi was giving us the background story to carry us through the next book in this series so that we can enjoy the continued story with a complete understanding.

THIRST "The Enemy Within"

Although there were some grammatical and spelling errors, they did not detract from the story for me. I do wonder a little about Thierry's background because I didn't feel that I got a complete understanding of where he was coming from. I like Tori and Corben. I felt that Thierry was holding back I really enjoyed this story. I felt that Thierry was holding back a lot of secrets from Tori which led me to not trust him or his intentions.

I'm wondering if this means that in the future there will be a show down between Thierry and his maker for Tori's affections. Although, considering the revelations in the end of the 1st book, I doubt that Thierry stands a chance - which secretly makes me happy. Sep 24, Debbie rated it really liked it. The story was a bit slow at first, but I was quickly drawn in and became absolutely engrossed in this book until the very end.

A love triangle, sexy Vampires, romance and danger The characters are brilliant and very well defined. The writing is rich, descriptive and flows effortlessly. A wonderful read that I enjoyed immensely. Apr 07, Bella Marie rated it it was amazing. It's been a long time since I read such a good book about vampires. No not a good book I was giggling all the time and I had a huge smile on my face.

It really made my day. I do have to admitt though that I skipped some pages but it was that I just couldn't wait anymore. I had to know the end. I saw it coming but still the book is excellent. And it was free!! I can't wait for the second!!! Apr 25, Faith rated it did not like it. This was just awful. The main character is annoying with all her self depreciation and crazy behavior. She has zero depth. There's no plot line to this book. I picked it up because there were so many 4 and 5 star reviews.

Now I'm wondering if these people actually read the book. I think the vampire characters are ok but still there's not a lot there. This ends on a cliffhanger and Im not fan. I dont care what happens in the next book. I normally don't read within this genre, so I was pleasantly surprised about how much I liked The Thirst Within.

Characters are well developed and likable, which is more than I can say about other novels in teen vampire books. The plot is also unpredictable, in a good way. I also think overall, the writing is great and easy to read. Apr 03, Andrea Heltsley rated it it was amazing Shelves: I loved this book!!! There were so many things that kept me interested in it.

Towards the ending I couldn't put it down! I was so intrigued and the romance in the book was perfect for new adults. The only downside was the cliffhanger, but I will be waiting for the sequel not so patiently!

Apr 03, Emily rated it really liked it Recommends it for: This was really good, especially for a self published book. I'm looking forward to book 2 being released. This is so not what I expected. But I am a little upset by the ending. It wasn't like a cliffhanger, it just stopped. But other than that I liked it. I was initially intrigued by this book, and the fact that it received generally favorable review helped.

So of course, I ended up picking this book. Sadly, I this book didn't work for me. I love vampire romance so I'm really upset it didn't work for me. One of the reasons why I'm disappointed with this book is that nothing happened. Nothing really happened, until the last few chapters.

I was really close to D Beautiful cover. I was really close to DNF'ing this book 'cause even when I was halfway through the book, nothing significant happened! I found myself yawning, searching for some little vamp action. What I got were endless passages of Tori, describing how her day went, her lame ass friends, lame ass family.

She basically summarized everything that happened in every fucking chapters and that's it. We don't actually get to see first-hand how anything happened. And it got boring after a while. I kept on waiting for something to happen. Tori's also one of the most immature female leads I've ever read. She's seventeen going eighteen but acted like a twelve year old. She's practically my age but in what universe does a seventeen year old act the way she does?

One of the things that surprised me the most was the premature love declaration between her and Thierry. For god's sake, you only hung out with him twice and now you're in love with him? Are you kidding me? That's so stupid I wanted to rip my hair off. Sure, he bought you a smartphone, bought you food and all but you hung out with him like, twice Secondly, their first meeting was also fucking ridiculous and there's also this moment when she was looking at Thierry's pretty skin and she was like, "he doesn't have wrinkles.. There were parts in the book where I questioned Tori's sanity.

I was so appalled. If I were her, I would run. She also broke into Thierry's house because she apparently missed him. How stupid is that? There's this thing called a cellphone, dumbass. And you do have one? Thierry bought one for you, remember? When she first witnessed Thierry feeding from a guy, she ultimately concluded he was a vampire. And I was suprised because I expected her to freak out like a normal person would? Oh and did I mention that right after she saw Thierry feeding, she demanded a kiss I'm not sure if I will be reading the second book.

The cliffhanger got me curious though. Sep 15, Desislava Pavlova rated it it was amazing Shelves: This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I got the e-book free in exchange for a honest review Lovers of Paranormal. I really loved that book. We have Tori, a years-old modern Cinderella and two hot vampires.

First I will start with the only problem I have with the book and it's the synopsis: Would have been great if I haven't been expecting it.
