THREE TIMES A LADY: A Serial Killer Thriller

Even Kyle was shocked to see the picture of his supposed body. Because this is part One of three parts, there is not a conclusion but Salem has a few more surprises in Part One. But those would be spoilers. This first part does exactly what was planned. It makes me want to read Part Two. I gave this four Amazon stars for keeping my interest in a very busy hundreds of people waiting room. When I returned home after reading a few pages of Part Two, I checked my laundry supply for the rest of the work week. This is a quick, distracting read which I recommend for the Go Bag that many carry around to manage the stress imposed by time wasters.

Detective Isabella cruz, of the Portland police bureau, was kidnapped and held for three months after seeing her mother gunned down in a random robbery. She was eight years old. The policeman who rescued her adopted her. After 25 years, her kidnapper returns and starts killing and goading Bella. Does she get him? Does she get revenge? You have to keep reading but you will want to know.

In the future, I would like to see a series with Bella and Kyle. And I would like to see Kyle become a bit stronger emotionally in his job. Seems a little weak.

Three Times a Lady

This book was well written, with well developed characters and an intense, non-stop story line. Bella, the main character, is a hard driven, intense detective who always gets her man or woman. But what drives her? This is revealed throughout the book, where as a child she was kidnapped, tortured and held captive for many months after seeing her mother gunned down in a continence store.

When she finally was rescued, her tormentor disappeared for 25 years. But it looks like he may have come back to finish what he started. A young girl is left in a suitcase in front of an FBI office.

Lionel Richie - Three times a lady

Imagine the look on Isabella Cruz' FBI face when she sees the child for the first time and it is like looking in the mirror. Who is this child and who put her in the suitcase? She and her partner Kyle Gray will have their hands full trying to solve this case. Could it be connected to the 25 years old kidnapping of "Bella" herself? This book will keep you guessing. The hands all seem to belong to men, and Daniel and her team have to go through missing persons reports to try to find who they belong to. But why are these men who seem to be around the same age being targeted? Are they alive or dead? What did they do to make someone want to punish them?

If they can't figure out how they're connected, they have no way to figure out who is next I did have an inkling of the "why" quite early on in the book but did not get the "who". Full of twists you won't expect. I enjoyed this latest Jessica Daniel venture very much. For those that appreciate a good female detective novel that is very light on romance, I'd recommend them. Looking forward to the next one. I appreciated the new characters and the return of Caroline. My review is honest and unbiased.

Twisty, Suspenseful Mystery and Thriller Books

Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I couldn't wait to start this one. I finished Vigilante and I wanted to know what was next for Jessica Daniel. Jessica doesn't know if having him as her boss is a good thing or not since he knows her too well. Jessica also has a new detective to share her office with and of course, right from the start, Jessica says something she shouldn't which makes working in the same office very tense. Mostly, Jessica tries not to be at her office and she works with David and a new recruit Izzy. The only clue they have is from a video from a CCTV camera where a woman wearing a black cape is seen leaving the hand behind.

When more severed hands start appearing and mail with more fingers are delivered to Jessica, she knows she has to find the links between the missing people and the severed hands popping out all over the city before more people die. One thing I'm enjoying about this series is how the characters have grown. Jessica and Caroline seem to be gradually be working back into their friendship. Caroline has even named Jessica her bridesmaid!

Dave Rowlands usually delivers great humor but he's also more mature and a very good detective. I'm still not sure if he has a romantic role but he certainly gets along well with Jessica. Cole as Jessica's boss couldn't be better. He let's her be. He trusts her too. He doesn't micromanage her. Izzy was a great addition to the team.

She has some of the same spark Rowlands has but it's nice for Jessica to have another girlfriend. Hugo is still a mystery to me. He's in a way an adorable enigma. I was hoping for some Adam confrontation but sadly there was nothing about him. The other positive about the story was the detective work per se. I like how the link between victims was established. I enjoyed the twist too. I'm definitely going to continue this series. As usual, Kerry came through for me with a great story.

These are great colleagues for Jessica. I especially love her brotherly bickering relationship with Dave. New to the squad is DC Izzy Diamond, a wonderful addition who contributes a nice measure of levity to the team. With each book, we learn a little more about Jessica.

I happily suspect we will continue to see her grow and mature as the series progresses. Return to Book Page. This box set includes: Six-inch stilettos and a slinky black dress that goes with every occasion? A freshly sharpened knife, fully loaded handgun and an overwhelming desire to rid the world of all the phonies out there?

Check, check and check. The Censor is a bloodthirsty killer who has identity issues that run more than just skin deep — though that certainly plays a part in it, too. Raised since birth to seek the limelight, he believes that fame should come at a cost — especially what he considers undeserved fame. By drawing on Special Agent Dana Whitestone's celebrity as the most talked-about FBI agent in recent memory, this murderous modern-day Holden Caulfield won't rest until all the phonies are eliminated and his own name is up in lights.

Bigger and brighter than all the rest, of course. Headed by a charismatic leader known as "the Race Master," the organization will go to any lengths to ensure that its stomach-turning brand of genocide receives the brightest possible global spotlight. Angel Monroe's investigation meets with that of FBI Special Agent Dana Whitestone, the two women must join forces to put a stop to the Brotherhood's heartless actions before it's too late -- before Adolf Hitler's diabolical master plan becomes a horrible, 21st-century reality.
