Sheldon has begun to meet lots of friends at the farm and is realizing the joy that can come with not having to worry about regular meals and fending for himself and has begun to enjoy play bowing and running through the back fields with joy and some pep in his step.

Sheldon is ready for it all. He is a dream in a crate, makes not a peep and waits to use the restroom at the appropriate time. Who could ask for more of a gentleman? Sheldon is sure to bring all of the best things that come with the letter S into your world! This little guy will likely shoot an arrow through your heart and be an instant love match. He's an adult Chihuahua ready to find a loving, caring forever home. Saving Grace assisted with a hoarding case and Arrow was part of this situation. These pups have been doing very well in their foster homes working on crate training, socialization and basic social skills necessary to be a family companion. With a little patience, positive reinforcement and consistency, they will continue to blossom and flourish as they acclimate to their forever homes. Having been used to living with a large number of dogs, they do enjoy the companionship of other dogs and are learning that being a loved family member can be even better!

So we went with Arcadia to christen a sweet sweet momma dog who arrived with her babies just as that horrid storm was moving in. Lucky might have been another good name, but Arcadia fits as it is a bit exotic as is this lovely young lady. Arcadia appears to be a mix between a lab, American Staffordshire Terrier and something else that we cannot quite put out finger on that creates a truly exotic looking ,beautiful piece of loveliness. She is about 2 to 3 years old and weighs about 50 lbs full grown. Arcadia likely has not lived a cushy live to date.

She is mostly white but has super cool markings of gray as well as black around the face. With time, love and home care this girl will have a coat ALL of the neighborhood dogs are gonna covet without question.

Yes, the kind that stands up on her back legs and wraps her paws around your waist and just leans in the for the good stuff! Try to resist dem apples! Arcadia has been amenable to sharing space with other dogs rather easily but the reality is that she is completely focused on people and would therefore be entirely fine to live in a home solo but could also live among another dog as well.

Without question, Arcadia has let us know she is DONE with having puppies, DONE with living hard and READY to find her own safe space to land that will offer regular meals, treats galore, regular walks and most importantly the spoiling that she has waited all of her life to get and more assuredly deserves! Tonka is a cross between lab and hound and has a beyond handsome white coat with patches of brown and some black and freckles on his ears that will make you wonder how you ever lived without a dog who has ear freckles.

Tonka is still just a boy and is coming up on a year old and is pretty much full grown at 50 lbs though might add a few more before he is done. Tonka is active as you would expect from a boy his age and loves everything outdoorsy. He would adore being part of a family with children who might be up for rolling in the leaves or plowing through the snow in the months to come.

He is great in his crate, keeps it clean and waits patiently for his time outside of his bed dog buds. He has not had a lot of home training yet, but no worries! His love of all things food, excitement about life and desire to please will make him the best of training candidates. So tell the kids to toss those trucks to the side and hop in the car and come out and meet the real live thing and get to play, play, playing! Moose is a little chocolate kiss looking for someone to share all of his sweetness with.

At only 8 lbs, this chihuahua takes up very little space but he will surely take up plenty of space in the heart of the one lucky enough to give him the home he deserves. Moose gets along well with the other small dogs he has been hanging out with. He loves to play but also would never say no to a quiet snuggle and nap when you ask. He is affectionate and oh so lovable. Moose is looking forward to the day when he can be your devoted sidekick. Kurt has assimilated into the SG life without a double blink or scoff and has done well with all kinds of dog friends though funny enough does not seem to realize his size.

He is gentle and kind with friends in spite of his intimidating size. This young looker enjoys the company of both people and dogs though is very attentive to where volunteers are and trots close by enjoying the smells and sights of the farm. Honestly, were he not so stinking handsome, it would be easy to forget he is around because he does not bark and does not shove, push or demand a thing.

He simply enjoys being out and about and spending time with humans and then resting and doing it all again later. He would settle into pretty much any home easily, thinking some teenage girls, or even boys who would never admit it, who would brush his hair regularly and keep him looking as handsome as all get out would certainly never be a loss. Kurt is young and active and will enjoy regular walks and exercise but he is also refined and knows how to kick back, put his 4 feet up and enjoy some snuggle time and R and R.

Sweet and worried Aggie arrived at the farm about a week ago with a number of sister friends, all of whom have not had much fun lately and have been terribly worried about their future. Fast forward a week, Aggie is coming out of her crate, loving on volunteers and learning about being safe in a big world and trusting a kind human hand.

Aggie is absolutely beautiful! Maybe a rat terrier mixed with a Chihuahua and a fiest, Aggie is a true one of a kind. She sports a gorgeous platinum blonde coat, long legs and eyes that all would befit a model on the runway. Aggie is maybe a year old and weighs about 20 lbs pretty much full grown. She is wonderful in her crate and never leaves a mess. She does not bark or beg and asks only for quiet folks, soft touches and understanding that she is learning about human kindness.

Aggie would prefer a quiet home and would be a dream with pretty much any dog. Chaos is not her thing. Soft beds, snuggles and quiet walks are far more her thang. Aggie is one of those girls who might never have known a lot of security in her life so far, but once she tastes it , will be a most grateful and ever devoted family member. Charlotte is clearly kin connected to the Oreo McFlurry which can be purchased at any McDonalds because she is amazingly, overwhelmingly sweet and a combination of vanilla ice cream with lots of black speckles on four legs! Charlotte is about 8 months old and is a boxer bully mix who will literally steal your heart at first sight! This chick has personality coming out the gills a she is fun, energetic, adventurous, confident and up for just about anything you might throw her way! Charlotte is a young lady who is showing how smart she is daily with her crate training and is eager to find an active family who is up for walks, runs, hikes and is willing to crash any party you might find in the neighborhood as this girl will be the life and love of it!

She would do wonderfully in a home with another active and playful dog and kids who can throw balls and join in on zoomies would be the bees knees as well. He is very much a mix breed, one of the amazing Carolina Brown Dogs that make up some of the best dogs ever! He is about 18lbs, full grown about 2 years old and has many qualities to offer. Like a chihuahua, he is always ready to burry under heavy bedding in the middle of summer yet he is also always excited to head out for an off road adventure, go for hikes or hang out for a late night neighborhood get together.

Tom is doing well with his crate training. He loves having a soft bed and being cozy and he also loves being invited to join into playgroups with either the small or large dogs. He is truly a keeper and will bring many good times to your home! Big and gangly, long and lean 4 months old Lab mix Katniss has the physique of a true athlete. Always up for adventure, play and exploring, this girl is ready to embrace all life has to offer. She's a quick study and learned "sit" in just 3 tries, she has also been working on her leash walking and potty training and is doing really well.

She calms down quickly and knows that sitting and being calm is a sure way to get attention. If she manages to get a hold of a can she will prance around with it, exceedingly proud of herself. Katniss came to Saving Grace with her three sisters and has been spending time in one of our foster homes with adult dogs, and school aged children. Gretchen is a gorgeous 60 lbs mix about years old. She will happily let you sit with her at the lunch table, and all of your friends for that matter! She is sweet as sugar and has made fast friends at the farm, both human and canine. She is an outgoing gal ISO an active family to join. The belle of the ball has arrived and she is aptly named Bella! At 10 years young, this sweet pitty girl has found herself looking for a new Prince Charming to sweep her off her feet. She assures you she isn't like those other high maintenance girls and all she needs is a soft bed and someone to love her and be loved in return.

She is housebroken, rides well in the car and even sleeps on her dog bed on the floor peacefully for 10 hours at night. She is a petite little thing at just 44 lbs. Bella adores people and is ready to take on her laid back senior years as a devoted companion. Just a leisurely stroll around the block is good for this girl and she would be happy to spend the rest of the day just keeping you company. Scout will bring fun, companionship and loyalty to your home that you never knew you were missing! Sturdy, sweet, soft, and superbly mannered. Trita is in the house and she is sure to be a crowd pleaser! Trita is a lab mix who is about 3 years old and a solid 55 to 60 lbs of wonderfulness. Trita sports a gorgeous coat the color of warm caramel with some white highlights on her chest. She has melded into farm life seamlessly and has been nothing but easy to be around.

Trita makes NO messes in her crate, like ever, because she is a lady of good manners. She enjoys being around other dogs and would be fine with a friend, but is also far more people focused and is most interested in where you are, what you are doing and if she can do it with you.

Trita is a super athletic girl who is built like a pretty Ford pink truck and would LOVE to have a family that is active. She would be an amazing running partner and would go run as long as you like because at the end, she is certain there is a soft place to cuddle up and snuggle down until the next round. We got one for you right here! Eben is around 3 years old and full grown at 10 lbs. A perfect pocketbook pooch, he would love nothing more than to be your loyal companion and accompany you on your weekly errands. Their wonderful mom Kate has done a great job of raising these precious pups, who all take after her in personality as well as in their small size Kate is about 25 pounds and her little ones are also likely to be not-so-big dogs. The puppies have been having a blast with their foster family, which includes kids who have snuggled and adored them from early in their little lives, so they love the attention of children and everyone they meet!

They are a healthy, energetic bunch, and are all very bright and quickly catching on to what is expected of them, and Leah uses those cute, quirky little ears to pay close attention to the cues of her humans. Dogs at Saving Grace receive any and all medical treatment necessary. This includes, but is not limited to: All dogs get a microchip which can be traced back to the adopter and to Saving Grace. While at Saving Grace, dogs are crate trained, begin a housebreaking routine and basic manners such as walking nicely on a leash, how to sit and not to jump on people. Each dog is individually handled and observations about their personalities are noted. Saving Grace keeps about 80 dogs available for adoption and has a variety of sizes, shapes, ages and temperaments.
