The characters are shallow and hard to distinguish one from the other. The author needs to do her homework before writing. Could have been a good story plot but poorly executed. Enchanted Immortals, sets up this universe tells us how Thomas became immortal, and introduces us to the hidden faeworld all around us. Hungry vampires, shapeshifters, and more populate this tale.

The Vortex, stars Jonathan Murphy, catapulted from the normal world into another, With Thomas and Kathryn, he enforcing the laws of the Zie to please his queens. The Vampyre, follows Pascal Theroux and his mate, confined to the world at night, unless sunlight-resistant vampyers can be developed. The Vixen, follows Kathryn Jones who meets a man who changes everything. She also takes us through space, covering every aspect of every part of the story, I couldn't avoid feeling part of it, part of the magic that surrounds these characters giving them life, I was completely enchanted, not immortal though.

I really really love how the author writes this amazing story, present and past all wrapped into one. My heart really goes out for Jonathan in this book.

The wonderful, but sad ending to his life before he came to the States. He never got to make that choice of whether or not he'd continue drinking the "immortal cocktail", as I choose to call it.

Finding out As I ventured into this second book, I just knew that there would be more excitement. Finding out how he got to know "the panther", was well needed. Many questions answered, but a few still remain. Total shocker at the end!

If the first book was great, this one is even better. The Vortex focuses on the life of Jonathan, an Immortal, and a once carpenter and family man. I can tell that Ms. Pinard is here to stay! With the first book,I had the feel of him as being older with a reserved personality. This time I saw him in a totally new light. He is very loving and loyal.
