Wednesdays Child (A Day to Remember Book 3)

Also, the constant comparison that the protagonist, Sharlotte feels she must struggle with in regards to Kace's "more spiritual" love, Elly is quite sad and never resolved really. Kace never even after proclaiming his love for Sharlotte feels the need to help Sharlotte see that she does not have to compare herself, nor does she have to live up to the behavior that Elly so nobly portrays. The protagonist eventually sees this, but not with the help of Kace. Also, at the end, it is Sharlotte who finally goes after Kace and not the other way around.

Under the circumstances, I feel like this was not appropriate. It should have been Kace coming to her, apologizing for the way he had treated her during the worst time in her life, proclaiming his love for her despite her temperament, and being willing to help her pursue her dreams. With all of this together, I just did not like the love story, although the intrigue and character development was solid.

I fell in love with this book a couple of years ago, and have since read it over many times. I feel like the author truly understands the meaning of putting your faith in God and the whole book is just so inspiring! There is nothing in here that is overly violent or sexual, which is hard to find anymore I have found. Definitely try this book if you want to read about a girl who is learning to trust God through a troubling time and having a lovely romantic story to follow along. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because it had a very slow start.

Sharlotte is a spoiled rich girl. Kace is a hard worker from Texas. This is a story of how God works in Sharlotte's life to see life through His eyes. I've read most of the books in this series. The main character under goes transformation and character building, which is different from her other main characters. As usual, the dialogue between the two main characters is witty and fun. This is where Chaikin excels. What a shift from rich girl New England to penniless Texas.

It took the heroine awhile to get the message that we need the riches of a relationship with our savior more than money. The story line was solid and the characters well developed. I will read it again. My book came in great shape and it arrived quickly.

I liked Wednesday's child it was a good read. I would recommend it to any one who likes christian romance. In my opinion, "Wednesday's Child" is the best book in the series. Sharlotte, who is a Wednesday's Child, is introduced to the reader as a spoiled, flirting nineteen year old who is aware of her beauty, stable financial situation and social level, and her likely upcoming engagement to a wealthy, promising man.

If you're hoping for some quick action, you won't be disappointed. A murder, a dashing rival from Sharlotte's past, and the stock market crash set the pace for an exciting book. Linda Chaikin also does a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life for the reader, as well as coming through with the Christian context expected. I found the characters easy to understand and relate to. The plot was very well developed, with an abundance of excitement and adventure. I was intrigued for the duration of the book! Like another reviewer, I agree that "Gone with the Wind" and "the wild west" scenarios are reflected in "Wednesday's Child".
