This place offers a lot of freedom within the work environment. They try to meet the individual's needs as best as they can. They get them more involved in the community.

What are people discussing at Lord's Legacy Life Ministries?

Poor management, poor communication, low pay. Staff are overworked and underpaid. Management is poor and does not communicate well with staff, although email communication did improve a lot in the last year I worked there. Expectations for staff are often too high For example, 1 staff member being responsible for 3 high need individuals at a time for 8 hour shifts when at least 2 staff members are needed. CEO does not treat employees well and often does not listen to or address concerns from staff. The Human Resources Director has implemented many positive changes in assisting, listening to, and recognizing employees.

Christian based, great organization. Very loving and ready to serve! Organization likes to hire from within for administration positions and take good care of their staff.

You get out what you put in while working at LLM! Rewarding job with supportive leadership. LLM is a great place to work from top to bottom. While each position there does require a high level of patience and understanding due to the field, if you care about serving others in a positive environment, then you will get so much out of the job.

Management tries to be flexible with support staff, scheduling around school, second jobs, and personal circumstances. They also try to take time to invest in their staff, both professionally and personally. There are a variety of positions to work in within the company and leadership tries to help you find the right fit.

Each participant you work with has different needs, so there is always continued growth and learning that occurs. This can be an extremely fulfilling job, where each day can leave you with an even bigger heart. No room for any advancement. Company is pretty good cares for employees most of the time. Pay is decent, but not great.

No benefits, no matter your amount of hours. Only the office staff are good enough for any benefits. An okay place to work. This is a great place to work if you nee part time work and have a lot of patience. Not at all what you expect! The participants and their families are great. The founder is not involved in day to day operations and has no clue about the industry but makes most decisions.

As a result the decisions are poorly made and have negative repercussions. She then finds a scape goat to blame things on. Top administration is secretive and cult like. If you are an hourly employee you won't mind because you will not see them or have to deal with them. On the flip side you will not have support either. Her whole heart is for this community and she knows this is the Lords calling on her life.

Christine came to us from Wilmore, Kentucky. Christine enjoys time with her husband and children, being out in nature and watching old movies. Through months of prayer and feeling the Lord guiding her in our direction, she is settled in now as the Community Supports Manager. We are absolutely thrilled to have Christine a part of our LLM family! She posses much strength, including: Communicator, Strategic, Relator and more! What a wonderful addition to the CS department. Christine is a team player and she loves engagement along with development.

We are thankful to have Christine with us and are also excited to announce that beginning in January , she will be transitioning into Director of the Community Relations department. She is passionate about bringing community together and organizing events and so much more to assure there is unity and fellowship! We are grateful and excited for what this season holds!

Tracey chose LLM in order to make a difference. She value giving participants the opportunity to achieve their goals and dreams within the community. Tracey began her service as a DSP, serving in Residential she proved that investment and long term support truly makes a difference! She has shared that one of her favorite things about LLM is being able to pray with and over each participant and staff. She loves being able to speak life and build others up.

In her free time, you can find Tracey spending time with her family. She enjoys swimming, traveling, and watching her nephew play sports. We are honored to have Tracey serve within the ministry as the Residential Assistant! In her free time Rebecca enjoys volunteering with her Church, playing board games, spending time outdoors, and reading.

In she was promoted to Residential Asisstant. Rebecca found her passion for adults with intellectual disabilities after her family received her foster brother, a 66 year old who had an intellectual disability. Priscilla was initially hired for our Adult Day Training Center. After serving faithfully through that season, it was time for a change in her role as part of this family team. Finding that anywhere else is pretty hard. Priscilla often finds herself re — reading the scripture, Ephesians 3: She believes that God has transplanted her into the rich soils of His love, which will provide her with the nourishment she needs.

This is her go — to verse. Lastly, she is an incurable lover of stories, whether movies or books, even fairy tales! She loves a good mug of tea, surrounded with good conversation and dear friends. After successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in Health Communication and over two years of outstanding performance with LLM, she was offered a Community Supports Director position. Due to her remarkable performance within this department, she was again promoted to a newly created Assistant Executive Director position in December of In November of , LLM began a structural shift which allowed Jamie the opportunity to again be promoted to the position of Executive Director.

She leads with integrity and compassion. The ministry has continued to thrive under her leadership for the past 5 years. We are confident of both Jamie's calling to leadership and her passion and love for this ministry. Becky Wimpy has been a beloved member of the LLM family since She grew up in London, Kentucky where she met her husband, Lester. In she gave birth to twin boys, Andrew and Clark. Clark, the younger of the two, was diagnosed with Intellectual Disability and Infantile Cerebral Palsy. In , Lester's employment brought them to Lexington. Prior to the move, there were no services available to help further support Clark.

The Wimpy's eventually made there way through Lord's Legacy's doors, and there family has been a blessing to the ministry ever since. Wimpy stepped onto the Board of Directors and has brought her experience.

Becky Wimpy is a true example of what it means to love and care for others unconditionally. She and her family are a beautiful reflection of the love of Christ. By becoming a member of the Lord's Legacy team, you may work with participants in a number of capacities that include helping find jobs, join clubs or groups, learn daily living skills, teaching self-advocacy skills, reach exercise goals, participate in volunteer work in the community, or assist residents in their home.

Not only do we believe that each individual in our program is deserving of the opportunity to reach their potential, we apply that same philosophy to the members of the Lord's Legacy team. Predominantly promoting from within, we give every staff the opportunity to prove themselves for further career advancement. Lord's Legacy offers a variety of schedules that work well with both college students and those who are looking for something consistent.
