The Lost Treasure of Annwn: Book 4 (The Adventures of Jack Brenin)

Catherine, I would just say very many thanks — your books have just helped me through a very difficult time. I particularly enjoy the way all characters seem to come to life, and leave you feeling as is if you want to find this idyllic village and become part of the story!

Thank you so much, we eagerly await his next adventure. In this book Jack finally makes a friend who is not a magic creature or fair folk but actually a human! It seems Catherine Cooper can still in twine childish fantasy and adventures with the trouble of every day life for a child who despite living with his Grandad for a while now is still having trouble setting in.

The Lost Treasure of Annwn

Everything is described so vividly and you really feel like the character is standing right next to you, especially with Velindur! For now, avoid forcing the issue with mere "lists" of works possessing an arbitrary shared characteristic, such as relating to a particular place. Avoid series that cross authors, unless the authors were or became aware of the series identification eg.

Also avoid publisher series, unless the publisher has a true monopoly over the "works" in question. So, the Dummies guides are a series of works. But the Loeb Classical Library is a series of editions, not of works.

O PORTAL DE GLASRUHEN, a nova aventura de Jack Brenin iniciada em A NOZ DE OURO

This is a verbal review from both a third and sixth grader who completed the book - as a disclaimer, I did not but then again a middle-aged gray-haired guy is not the target audience! Bottom line summary is they both the 3rd and 6th grader loved this book, and they were both quite insistent on purchasing the Kindle-format sequel to the Golden Acorn.

The Golden Acorn - Book 1

When asked what they liked the most, the third grader said he liked the characters, time travel, and the story, which was about all I could get out of him. Both of them said they would recommend it to their friends, and three friends downloaded both the Golden Acorn and this sequel to their Kindles. Similar to the experiences with the Golden Acorn, after reading this book the sixth grader carried on a conversation of how neat it would be to have something like the golden acorn in real life, what she would do, etc.

What I really like is it appears to be a great story and having them want to read more and exercise their minds vs. I picked up the first book in the series Golden Acorn when it was free, and decided to get the sequel as well - just in case! I read the first book straight through and thought it was great, then immediately moved on to Glasruhen Gate, which I also read straight through.
