The Little Fisher (Little Nipper Storytelling Series Book 1)

She makes new friends, including the handsome Tony Rasad, who seems to have connections with the same Palestinian group which may be behind the death on the train. From chapters in Tony's point of view, we learn that he's a reluctant spy for Israel, trying to infiltrate the terrorists' ranks.

Two From Isaac's House is an intriguing romantic suspense with a strong sense of place. The title refers to Rina's and Tony's heritage: The danger they face draws them both to depend on the God of their people. Rina's uncle is seriously considering the claims of some friends who are Messianic Jews believing Jesus is the Messiah. The spiritual thread is low-key, and shouldn't be a barrier to non-believing readers. Author Normandie Fischer writes women's fiction and romantic suspense. She's also an avid sailor.

Mar 01, Kari rated it liked it Shelves: Two From Isaac's House is a romantic suspense that has a little something for everyone. The story involves Rina and Tony. Rina is taking a vacation in Europe. One last adventure before she gets married. Tony is working as a spy for his cousin. When the two meet, there is an attraction, but Tony doesn't know how to keep danger from finding Rina.

For the most part, I liked the book. What I liked most was the characters. I loved Rina and her conviction to see some of the world before she settled dow Two From Isaac's House is a romantic suspense that has a little something for everyone. I loved Rina and her conviction to see some of the world before she settled down, I also loved how she went after what she wanted in the end.

The secondary characters made the story more interesting, especially Acie. I also enjoyed the descriptions of Italy. It sounds like a beautiful place to visit. For me, the suspense part of the book was what I struggled with. I'm not sure I really know enough about the conflict with Palestine and Israel to really understand what Tony was trying to do in Perugia. So that made the book really slow at times for me. But, that didn't take away from my enjoyment of the romance between Tony and Rina. I was really rooting for them!

As I said, this book has a something for everyone. Religion, intrigue, and romance. I do think you should give it a shot and see for yourself. This si the first book that I have read by this author. I have heard good things abotu her earlier books, so I'll have to check them out.

Tony who is known as Anton, is Arab-American and an engineering geek conned into helping his Israeli cousins as a sort-of spy, known. From the moment he meets Rina who is half-Jewish, he's distracted, which is not a good idea when there's already been murder and theft.

And from the moment Rina meets Tony, she's fascinated, which is also not a good idea as she is already engaged. So many twist and turns with surprises makes the story hard to put down until finished. I was given a copy for an honest review. I loved it and highly recommend this book and author. I wasn't sure what I'd think about this book, because Normandie Fischer's others are more women's fiction, and this is romantic suspense. Fischer proves with "Two from Isaac's House" the range of writing she's capable of.

Not only does the suspense capture the reader right away, but the writer's unique voice shines through. I love the hero's self-effacing attitude. When they get caught up in events much bigger than the quaint Italian town where they meet I wasn't sure what I'd think about this book, because Normandie Fischer's others are more women's fiction, and this is romantic suspense.

When they get caught up in events much bigger than the quaint Italian town where they meet, they both rise to the challenges before them and perform beyond their flaws and imperfections. I love romance, and I love suspense. Normandie writes both with skill and flair. I couldn't put Two from Isaac's House down.

Normandie Fischer is an author to watch. Her books keep getting better and better. Mar 10, Sharon Chance rated it it was amazing. I had previously reviewed Normandie Fischer's novel, "Heavy Weather," and just fell in love with this sassy Southern lady's writing style! I loved the cast of characters - all were complex and fully developed; the setting is fascinating - the Italian countryside was just intoxicating; and the mystery is a rollercoaster of suspense and excitement. I'm a big fan of Normandie Fischer, and I think those who love a great, tightly written novel will love her as well.

I highly recommend this book. Jan 04, Laurie rated it it was amazing. I purchased this book on my Kindle app to read on vacation. I'm glad that I had the time to give it my full attention because it's a really good story. The engrossing characters star in a contemporary novel that documents a historical struggle. The author seems as comfortable with the plot which revolves around tension in the Middle East as she does writing the dialect for two Southern women who coincidentally meet in Italy and become BFFs.

The central dramatic elements of innocence, intrigue, and romance are the bones of a great movie! Feb 20, Teresa Hamilton rated it it was amazing. Normandie has proved, once again, that she can spin a tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat in her newest book, Two from Isaac's House. This could be and probably has been real life for some of the characters caught in this riveting saga of romance, danger, espionage, lies, faithfulness and Truth.

I can't wait to catch up with everyone as their story continues. This is a suspense with spies and terrorists that could be taken from today's headlines. I was pulled into the story line and the the lives of the characters from the first pages and didn't want to put it down because I didn't want to miss what could possibly happen next. It is a wonderful combination of suspense, romance, action and faith that I definitely recommend.

I listened to this on audible. At first it seemed that the book was just being read, so I was a bit disappointed but not for long as the narrator soon found the right voice!

The suspense grabbed me and pulled me to the edge for most of the ride! And I loved the small window to look at the struggle of Israel and the matter of faith! This is a wonderful story. It is woven together from many strands that are introduced throughout the story. I loved Rina's character as she stumbled trying to find herself. My heart ached for her and then felt uplifted by her discoveries. This is a very involved story but definitely worth reading. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. It is full of suspense!

I didn't want to put it down! I was given a copy of the book to read and to provide an honest review. It was a fun, fast-paced book that kept me fully engulfed into the world! The description is amazing. Fischer makes it so you feel like you are in the story, completely immersed.

I think my favorite part of this book was how real it seemed. I mean, the Middle Eastern issues and terrorist plot was really timely. The real world issues made it so relatable.

It also made it seem so much more suspenseful. The romance added in with it brought it up another layer. It was really fun to have a setting start in a North Carolina town to travel all across the country… Fischer takes us to Italy, Jordan, Paris, and Israel. The descriptions and imagery was fantastic. My only problem with the book was it was a lot going on.

I kind of wish we dropped a problem or two. I thought Potter was a great narrator. His accents and the inflections made this narration. The narrator takes a bit to get into it but once Potter gets into his stride, he knocks it out of the park. Give it a chance. The story and narration is so good! If she does find him alive, has he lost all interest in her? Could the journey endanger her as well? This isn't my usual listen and to be honest, I got lost sometimes with all the different names, places and religious references that were made. I'm sure I would have gotten more out of it if I'd been able to keep it all straight, but it was still a great story and awesome narration! I didn't downgrade my rating because of things that were my fault in understanding the story. This book had suspense, espionage, romance, travel and self-discovery. It is very relevant to the times and what is going on in the world today.

You should definitely give it a try. Truly a believable mastery. You could imagine the words. Read this book exceptional. Feb 14, Maria rated it it was amazing. Part literary romantic suspense and part coming of age story, Ms. Likeable cha i received a complimentary copy of this book as a part of a book tour for a fair and honest review and rated it 4. Likeable characters, good dialogue, an intriguing mystery and just the right amount of tension, kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next.

I liked both characters from the start and enjoyed getting to watch them get to know each other and themselves. I also enjoyed watching her attraction to Tony develop and watching their relationship grow. I especially liked how Ms. Meeting by chance in a cafe, they quickly become close and Acie encourages Rina to have fun and become self- confident.

The villains of the story are well developed and are easily identifiable. Even if their motives are not as easy to follow. I have read several of Normandie's books already and I have loved all of them. Two from Isaac's House is very different from the other stories of her's that I have read and I was a bit hesitant to try it.

That whole 'Middle East, spy world adventure' is not something I usually read. But since I know for a fact that she is a wonderful storyteller, I knew I had to give this one a try. And I was not disappointed. This is a great story with wonderful characters and lots of action, and I loved it all.
