We offer non judgemental compassionate support which can help you realise that you are not alone with your pain and distress. We understand how difficult it can be sorting out the practicalities while you are coping with the shock and trauma of losing someone suddenly. Our team of specially trained volunteers provide:.

Our volunteers can assist you with the family problems that can be created as a result of the homicide. We can help the bereaved to understand the many intense emotional responses they experience. Support after Homicide is a national voluntary organisation which provides emotional support and practical information to people whose lives have been affected by homicide.

This is a free and confidential service, provided by professionally trained volunteers and is funded by the Commission for the Support of Victims of Crime. Support after Homicide SAH was formally launched in We respond to the particular needs of families bereaved by homicide.

Support After Homicide

Our specially trained volunteers do this by giving one-to-one support, to people in their own homes or an alternative venue, whatever suits. We also give practical information regarding inquests, the trial, meeting with the legal team, applying for compensation and other processes which are particular to a death by homicide.
