New Love (Love Series Book 2)

I was hooked from the first page to the last. Couldn't put it down. All the characters are complex and well-developed. Did I mention the sex is Hot? Not too graphic, which I like. I most definitely recommend you read Unexpected Love. Actually, the entire Love Series. They are all interconnected but are stand-alone stories. I absolutely loved this book about Ryan and Lynn. Ryan is a nurse in the NICU unit and a playboy when he's not working but when he receives a call from the hospital saying that his son is born and he needs to come down to bring him home or he'll be put up for adoption.

Lynn has been unable to find a job in the saturated market for nurses and her boyfriend has dumped her to "find himself", leaving her with student loans to pay and no job that will pay enough to do so. She decides to ask her broth I absolutely loved this book about Ryan and Lynn. She decides to ask her brother if she can move into their unused apartment that is shared by her brother and cousin who are mannies to the Derrick and Courtney Murphy, a mob family that's in charge of the Northeastern states.

Ryan doesn't know what to do, he cares for babies everyday but to take care of his own son, he's clueless. Lynn offers to take on the job taking caring for Brady but what Ryan doesn't know is that the Murphy's have offered to pay for her salary which is double what Ryan can pay her. Within a short amount of time both Lynn and Ryan fall in love with each other even though she hasn't told him who really is pay her salary. There is some back story with Courtney and Sean who are still feuding over her comment in "Silent Love" but Lynn becomes good friends with Courtney and understands that the Murphy's are family to Ryan, Russ and Jarrett and if she wants to become part of Ryan's life she needs to accept them as well.

Wonderful book and I have already loaded up "Dangerous Love" which is Derk's story. Jun 14, Spunky N Sassy rated it it was amazing Shelves: The characters are strong, the scenes are realistic and filled with true emotions. Ryan has the most growing up to do. To see him take a leap forward to accepting his responsibilities and opening his heart to real staying love has been so much fun. The whole family dynamic which includes Sean, Beth, the twins, Beth' parents, Lynn's family and Courtney's family has made this reading adventure exciting and enjoyable.

I love a good book with believable situations and characters, with issues to deal with that strengthens the people involved and with that element of threat and danger that steals your breath away. This book has it all in spades! Ryan who is a manwhore finds out one day that he has an unexpected surprise waiting for him. The surprise is a bouncing baby boy which throws a wrench in this playboys life.

He then has to find him. Nanny that is where Lynn comes in. Lynn also has connections with Russ one of Courtney's nannies. Sean is still reluctant to forgive Courtney. Sean and Beth will welcome their baby girls onto the world. But an unexpected tragedy strikes wit Ryan and Beth. Will they finally come to terms with their relationship and give into the inevitable? Again Casey writes about you get wound up with your emotions in. May 16, Amy rated it it was amazing. Once again, what you want and what you get are sometimes 2 totally different things.

Lynn, trying to hold it together long enough to pay her bills, vowed to never rely on a man again, especially since her ex left her high and dry with no job, no money and all the bills. When Ryan ends up with a small situation and needs helping hands, Russ calls on his sister. She needs a job and Ryan desperately needs a level headed adult to help him through. Thrown together by fate, they are going to find out they really need each other. Another home run by Casey!

See a Problem?

This series is starting to get darker and more involved in the mob aspect of the plot. I loved this story. The twists that Casey brings to her characters make them real and relatable. Nov 17, Lindsey rated it it was amazing Shelves: I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review for MNP. This isn't your normal love story. Ryan is happy being a playboy and his world is turned upside down in a minute. Ryan lives with his brother, brother wife and any day he'll have two beautiful nieces. Ryan works in the NICU over nights and he will now need to rearrange his schedule sine welcoming his new bay boy to the world.

Ryan never knew that he was going to be a dad until the mom decided to try to give out the baby up for adoption. She volunteers to be Brady's nurse and has quickly fallen in love with him. She never intended to start a relationship, since she just got out of one but the heart will get what it wants. Until on morning when everything changes but they will have to survive the tragedy.

I loved this book!! I started it and the next thing I knew it was almost done with it. I could let put it down. The story was well written and engaging. I got to know each of the characters and even one that I didn't like in the beginning. Not to mention I enjoyed the mob connection.

I first met Ryan Millen in Silent Love and really wanted to be one of his one night stands as he sounds so delicious, as long as you weren't looking for more than one night. Lynn is struggling to make ends meet after her ex-boyfriend leaves her in the middle of nursing school and now she doesn't know how she will survive.

In a last attempt to get herself together without going to her parents she moves in with her brother Russ and cousin Jarrett who work for the Murphy family.

When Ryan's past catches up with him he is in a desperate position and Lynn jumps at the opportunity that Ryan provides her in order to get her life straightened out.

Can the two be around each other and focus on the matter at hand or will their attraction get the best of them? Will Ryan be able to change his wicked ways when it matters the most? I love that Casey has created a character that has flaws and is struggling yet doesn't give up!! The sexual tension between Ryan and Lynn is hot!! I also love that their is still such a focus on family in this book and it looks like at the end of this book things are working out like they should with the extended family!

Everything is working fine until Ryan and Lynn can no longer deny the chemistry between the two and give into temptation. Life is better for both of them until the unexpected happens and they both must decide where their future lies.

Unexpected Love (Love, #2) by Casey Clipper

This was once again another amazing story in the series and Ryan and Lynn were such strong people and I enjoyed how we still got a glimpse into characters from the first book. I would recommend this series to everyone looking for a great romance. Nov 16, Sassy Southern rated it really liked it.

Unexpected Love by Casey Clipper is not your typical love story where boy meets girl and they fall in love. This is a story of a struggling woman, Lynn, who has no real job, no real future and student loans to last a life time. She was in the last semester of nursing school when her finance announced he did not want to be with her any more.

Jan 25, Robyn rated it it was ok.

I think this book will fall to the pit of DNF. A complete and utter jerk I pretty much hated him, which sucks, because he was so good before. I understand that his life is handed a huge curve ball, but his reaction felt too extreme. This book is supposed to be a work of fiction, not an all too accurate portrayal of real life!

I have no issues with Lynn. Maybe I'll come back to it, but that doesn't seem likely. Nov 24, Jamie Sadler rated it it was amazing Shelves: Ryan never wants a wife or kids. Thats the life his brother Sean wants. Hes happy tool his nieces and sister in law and maintain his life as a playboy. Until the son he didn't even know to expect is dropped in his lap. This is a great story about family and how love can sneak up and grab you when you least expect it. Plus I love the cute costumes Brady gets. Dec 26, Lashaonda rated it did not like it.

I couldn't get past the first couple of pages. This book was a little too explicit right out of the gate. There was no literary skill used to write the sex scenes. There were no tasteful innuendos, just vulgar swear words. Oct 16, Cynthia rated it it was amazing. WOW I just do not know what to say, Liz sure throw a twist in this book. I never saw that coming. Just goes to show you when you think you know a character you need to think again. I totally loved this book, it is so touching and heartbreaking. Liz puts a twist on her stories that are so unlike anything I have ever read.

This poor family just keeps getting hit with more pain than it can take. Kieran comes home with his tail between his legs trying to start over from losing his job, his women th WOW I just do not know what to say, Liz sure throw a twist in this book. Kieran comes home with his tail between his legs trying to start over from losing his job, his women that no one liked anyway to find he still has feeling for his high school sweetheart that dumped him. The saying goes Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!

Oh there is going to be fall out, pieces broken, hearts torn apart and love lost before it is all said and done. The question is who will be left standing and who will be with whom? Kieran is strong but has a fear of being alone and feels he needs a woman to hold. She has a big secret which will make Kieran finally walk away from her. The question is will he stay away and what about this pull he has for Cara, can he make things right with her or should he leave her alone to marry Kent?

Cara is a strong will woman who left Kieran after high school wanting to sew a few wild oats before she settled down. In walks Kent they are days away from being married when his secret comes out. He swears it is nothing and he will walk a straight line, he loves her more and will do right by her. Can he keep this promise and can Cara stay out of the Kieran arms long enough to say I do?

It will put father against son and maybe brother against brother. Can love stay in this family and bring it back as a whole or will all the secrets finally tear the Love Family apart? Liz in her unique style makes you laugh, want to cry, leave you with your mouth hung open saying OOOOHHHH my god as she spins a tale of a family barely holding it together trying to find their way in life with many bumps along the way. I have totally loved the entire Love Brothers series, I have to say this is the best one yet. Each are unique and worth the read as Liz tells it like it is with a complicated family who is just putting one foot in front of the other as they make a mess of their lives as they try to bring it around to live another day hopefully with the person they love.

Liz has an easy style of writing a complicated life, her words flow easy and she draws you into the life of her characters. She gives you a page turn that her readers will not want to put down. She never leaves you behind but pulls you forward as she writes a story of pain, heartbreak with love. You never know who her characters will end up with until the end.

It has a wonderful happy ending but is sad at the same time. Liz you did a wonderful outstanding job I totally loved this story. Jan 04, Steph rated it really liked it. Kieran Love has always been the strong Love brother--the good guy, the one people relied on. He's also the athletic star of the family--or he was, before a horrifying career ending injury cut his time in the NBA, drastically short in his rookie season.

Now engaged to the bitchy but beautiful Melinda, Kieran finds himself drowning in a pit of self-pity and alcohol and loathing Cara is also engaged, but breaking up with Kieran all those years ago has always been a deep regret, and damn if she can find it in her to give a shit when he makes her feel like a albeit drunk goddess. In addition to the fact that he can't stop thinking and drooling over his ex-girlfriend, Kieran's life is quickly spiraling out of control.

Too much time on his hands has him drinking himself into a constant stupor and falling into some really self-destructive bad habits. Join the Love family as they take on this most recent challenge of supporting one of their own. As a huge fan of Ms. Crowe, I devour anything of hers I can get my hands on, and while this series isn't exactly my favorite, I can't deny that her "Romance for Real Life" writing style has me up all hours of the day and night devouring her stories as fast as I can. My main issue with this series is the seriously obscene amount of unremorseful cheating!

And that everyone is more or less A-Ok with it in the end which seems totally non "real life" to me, BTW. Crowe's writing style isn't for the faint of heart or those who want a light frothy read. You'll get "the feels" from page one, start rooting for SOMEONE by page 10, cry by page 60, laugh at 70, throw your ereader by 90 and at the end, if you're not too mentally and emotionally spent, you'll say brava Jan 08, books are love rated it really liked it. In this installment we look at Kieran and begin to delve into Dominic.

The ending will tear your heart out. The only one who truly truly accepted him was Kieran. To top it off his ex-girlf In this installment we look at Kieran and begin to delve into Dominic. To top it off his ex-girlfriend who he loved since high school the one that dumped him in college and said he was nothing to her is marrying someone else and he still loves her. That is not the strangest part of that tale. This comes out at the wedding or non wedding and this is when Kieran and Dominic declare their love.

Kieran outwardly to his ex. Dominic in a show of strength and courage one that Kieran is proud of. This story entails these two brothers and how they are dealing with their spiralling life. Dominic with heartache and accepting who he is. Kieran with trying to start over and live with the fact he loves Cara his ex from college. Unfortunately for Dominic he intertwines in the story for both Kieran and Cara. You will feel so much for Dominic especially at the end. What he goes through and is trying to come to terms with just will break your heart.

And when Kent finally accepts and comes to terms with who his heart really wants it may be too late. I do hope that works out. I love Cara in this story at the end with Kieran. He keeps having to ask her for her hand and go through hurdles. She accepts and loves unconditionally and I hope she can help keep this family together with that ending.

I love Kieran and his support and love for Dominic as well. A wonderfully written story of love and acceptance. Of finding who you are and becoming comfortable with it and standing up for who you love no matter what the consequences. Oct 09, Lisa Zeigler rated it it was amazing. I was provided an early reader copy of this book and I know that editing is still in progress.

Afterwards, there is an all-out war type of basketball game between the brothers and no one leaves without at least a bruise or more. Of the four sons there is the oldest one who watches over everyone, the second is the athlete and peacemaker, the third is the bad boy with various issues and works in the brewery, and the baby brother who spent many years in higher education and becoming a writer.

Kieran is the second son and the peacemaker. There are a lot of changes with his career and love life and I empathized with his pain and trying to find his way. This series is different from other Liz Crowe books and where a broader range of readers would enjoy the stories. With the sons, you have the love, loyalty, fighting, and competition. Liz provides a HEA, even though it might not be the one you expect.

ARC received from author in exchange for an honest review Love Garage was a little rough around the edges, but Coach Love definitely brought it's A-game. I enjoyed this one the most out of books , even though the whole cheating theme was still very much present. I felt like Ms. Crowe brought more than enough to the table to compensate and I found myself completely invested in this story and curious about the direction it was going in.

There is definitely no shortage of drama, love, lust, and h ARC received from author in exchange for an honest review Love Garage was a little rough around the edges, but Coach Love definitely brought it's A-game. There is definitely no shortage of drama, love, lust, and horribly made decisions in this second installment. All of which will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. And OMG what an ending! Allow me to backtrack a bit Keiran and Cara are high school sweethearts.

Because they're still pining after each other and their failed relationship. For all intents and purposes he seems pretty amazing, the perfect catch. Although the saying "it's too good to be true" rings very true in this situation. But that's something I'll let you figure out on your own. The fact that all of Keiran's life plans seem to be crumbling, one right after another is what I think brought him back to the original source of his heartbreak So now, even more than before, he can't get her out of his mind.

Cara is aware she made a bad decision in ending things with Keiran, but her relationship with Kent is too far along to go and end it all. I love that the family dynamics are still going strong in this second installment, and that the dual POV is still present. The writing is pretty much on point and the story flows well.

Kieran's life seemed to be going so well in high school until he was painfully dumped by his true love Cara. Just when he finally seems to have gotten his life back together with a new love he's reunited with his old love which leads to some painful decisions for everyone. Kieran was always seen as the perfect son but his cheating in this story tarnished that image for me, but with Ms. Crowe's impressive writing skills she still makes him likable and had me rooting for his HEA throughout all the ups and downs.

Cara always knew she'd made a mistake dumping Kieran but moved on to find a man she cares about with a life of contentment. Seeing Kieran again has her doubting her happiness though and with old feelings intensifying she reconnects with him despite all the pain it leads to. Cara's a likable woman doing something that I find disappointing, but Ms. Crowe makes her a multi-dimensional character whose acts are understandable in her quest for true happiness. The people in this story are flawed, they don't always do the right thing but they go with their heart despite everything.

Their imperfections are what pull you in as we see the grey side of life depicted. Family plays a large part in this story and are equally realistic as they're sometimes overbearing and say the wrong thing. They're loyal though and always there when needed. Amidst the romantic drama surrounding Kieran and Cara is the emotional struggle weighing on Dominic. His pain is palpable and I'm even more drawn to him in anticipation of his story arriving next. Feb 20, Deanndra Hall rated it really liked it. This is the second in the love Brothers series, and I leaped into it with both feet.

This book brings us the story of Kieran, the star athlete of the family until an injury removes him from basketball permanently. He returns to the family fold and a job he enjoys, but life throws him more than his share of curveballs. The best part of the whole book, for me anyway, was watching the situation with Kent as it twisted and morphed heading into his wedding to Cara and the depth it adds to the storyline. Jan 06, Sportochick rated it really liked it Shelves: The author really created a hands down not nice character in Melinda that both men and women can relate to.

Crowe wrote her as being very strong and at the same time weak. Kieran is someone that I really relate to. It is hard trying to always be the good, perfect son. I love how his mentally falling apart because of his job situation and damaged body was written. It showed angst as well as the despair that there is no solution. At least he better or I will always wonder what happened next. Ironic that she happens to be his physical therapist. Yes even more complications she is engaged to a lawyer.

This relationship actually creates a very shocking ending to this book. I predicted part of the ending but no way did it come about as I thought and I really loved the impact of the events that left me with no solution for one and a HEA for another. I am looking forward to the next book and kudos to the author! This book really was a much smoother read than the first book to this series. I give this 4 stars. No one wants to read fiction that makes you keep losing hope for the characters. You are a wonderful writer. And can present great characters. But for most life is very difficult causing a lot of ups and downs. I really was very upset that the main characters had to suffer so long and hard.

We need a little hope and sunny skies and great times also when we read fiction. I just did not feel I had a great experience after all the books took me down. But once again you make great characters.

Jesus Christ i apology if you go to church but dammit this book effs with your emotions. The beginning of the book I liked girl meets boy, boy tries to impress her, "you're not used to this kind of attention are you? I'm going to be watching you. Tessa, why are YOU acting like that? I'm the one who came here to be with you and you're the one hugging some guy right in front of me," he said through his teeth. And of course there were some times I didn't want to chop his nuts off but there were hardly enough of those moments for me to actually like him, "do don't be sorry, baby; I love how curious you are.

But it makes me want to do naughty things to you. The next book better hurry up and get here because after reading this I realized Lucas isn't worth the time or space and the air he breathes. I am absolutely perplexed by this book! It started off really rocky About midway, I started really getting into the story. I have mixed feelings about it which is why I only rated 3 stars. This caused me to slow down reading just so I could figure out what the author meant. I loved the story idea. How the POV changes without a heads up. Please for the love of all things holy, have someone edit this book.
