Tidal Basin Review

Expect large crowds of people and bottlenecks on bridges around Tidal Basin. Best bet is to ride a metro and then take a short walk. Believe me it'll be a lot faster than taking a taxi there or your own car. It looks like cherry trees will fully bloom in the middle of April this year due to a prolonged winter.

There is food and beer for sale, but lines are long and they tend to run out of things beer in particular pretty quickly. Had my first paddle boat ride here, cherry blossoms were in bloom - words cannot capture how beautiful or serene it was out on the water. If you haven't been to DC in the spring - its a must see experience to go to the Tidal Basin and see the Cherry Blossoms in bloom! Its truly an amazing site. Prime time is usually around the end of March or early April but the Cherry Blossom Festival has a varety of activities over a 4 week period.

Even if you miss the Blossoms.. You can see the yr old trees, Lantern, Monuments. Own or manage this property? Claim your listing for free to respond to reviews, update your profile and much more. Tidal Basin Review

Review of Tidal Basin. Ranked 29 of things to do in Washington DC. The celebration has grown over the years to include concerts, a running race, and a parade. The trees are usually in bloom for about 12 days in late March or early April. When winter will not release its grip, parade and festival take place without the presence of blossoms.

Not a ripple in sight - stunning photos. Would look wicked in the Spring! It is beautiful by day as well as buy night. It was my first time visiting by night and I was by myself but I did not feel scare to walk around. It seams that there were a lot of tourist everywhere near by.

This is a partially man made reservoir. Some of the path was muddy from soil washed from the hill down into the waters. The tidal basin offers a bit of quiet and solace from the hustle and bustle of the National Mall and the Capitol. It offers the opportunity to relax and get some interspective.

The reflections from several monuments and memorials can be seen in this basin plus the trees that line the paths were in full foliage for fall. Very clean and safe. The monuments around the basin are fantastic, so much to see. A lot of walking, but so worth it, If you love this country it is a must!!
