Lists with This Book. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Jul 24, Emma rated it did not like it. I knew when I purchased this book online that it was only a scant fifty pages long but what I didn't realise was that many of those pages would be half blank - there really is barely enough content to justify calling it a book. As a potted history that might be forgivable but for the frequent typos, amateurish layout headings at the bottom of a page and text on the next - really?

The Beautiful and Damned is always referred to as The Beautiful and th I knew when I purchased this book online that it was only a scant fifty pages long but what I didn't realise was that many of those pages would be half blank - there really is barely enough content to justify calling it a book. The Beautiful and Damned is always referred to as The Beautiful and the Damned, a title it never had and Brody tells us it was Fitzgerald's first novel, despite having previously said correctly that This Side of Paradise was Scott's debut.
