A story about a man who spent the last days of his life struggling to fix the life of a woman, whom he destroyed her life. Lee Da Il is a private investigator. Little details, like Myron being a recluse, arise naturally and make things feel authentic within the extraordinary setup. The story is good and I was drawn into the mystery, although the disjointed timeline was distracting at times.

Mistakes happen, but in this book it was so frequent that I lost interest in the story line. I may go back to it another time, but for now, I need a break. In a manner of speaking this is a paranormal romance filled with betrayals and heartache.

On another level it is a story of a vile con man who through his insidious actions inveigled himself into the lives of various people, infecting them with corruption and despair. On yet another level it is a tale of redemption and hope despite the pervasive atmosphere of sadness. The blurp gives a good idea of the story. It is the unfolding thereof which captures the heart and pity of the reader.

Truly the mark of a great wordsmith, much as one would sometimes have in some of the great bards of old, I think. One word of warning though, the narrative weaves seemlessly and without any warning between past and present for most of the time and requires focus by the reader not to become bewildered at times.

Still, everything falls into place in the end.

But I plugged along hoping to see the non corporeal light at the end of the tunnel. I wish I hadn't. I may have read a book with a worse ending but if so I don't remember it. However, if you are a person who feels an excess of happiness, if you must do something to bring yourself back to a life of quiet desperation go ahead and read this book.

I only hope I can forget it quickly enough to avoid a full depression. It took everything I had to finish this book. It seemed more about the crappy relationship between Myron and his dead wife than the actual mystery.

I felt like a therapist listening to people in a dysfunctional relationship. Myron gets shot in the head and awakens from a coma after several months! While he was in his coma his wife apparently committed suicide. With her help he opens up a PI business. His first client is a ghost who thinks her husband murdered her. As he sets off to investigate and find her mysterious husband he realizes her husband is the man who shot him!

With even more determination he sets out to find the man! This book was ok. At times the seemed disjointed and confusing as it flip flopped a lot. It was enjoyable enough.
