Well how can I not love a girl who wears vintage clothes, cooks like an angel and whose really ambitious? Just after a few pages I was convinced that if I meet her in real life,we'll be quick friends. Chet was the typical wealthy hero. There was If I have to describe Bachelor's Special in one sentence, all I can say is that it is a great romance which was sweet and spicy at the same time. There was the arrogance, and a little pride but there was also plenty of sweetness and ofcourse, dashing looks.

It didn't take me much time to love him. The romance between these two was wonderful. No matter how frustrated it makes me when the main characters fight with their feelings for a long tme,I have t admit that if you want a romance to be memorable,it has to be slow. Warner succeded in that. Jill and Chet's gradual and steady romance with a lot of sparks inbetween made the book a great read. Like everyone else I loved it when Jill se The prologue starts out with Jill living her dream. Like everyone else I loved it when Jill served up her bachelor's special. I thought the pacing was pretty good. One thing I really wasn't fond of was the morning after one of their fights. The things he said were so cruel. Up until that point it seemed like Jill was a decently strong character so for him to be able to walk up and smile the next morning just didn't seem right to me.

Maybe I'm mean in thinking he needed to suffer just a little bit more. At least the book didn't end there. I liked the way the rest of the book played out. I think that's her name, but I tried really hard to not commit it to memory since I disliked her so much Sep 30, What Readers Want rated it it was amazing. I received a copy from the publisher for an honest review. Aug 19, Talk Supe rated it really liked it Shelves: The conflict was a case of wrong assumptions so it wasn't the usual cliche we often find in romantic stories. The crux of the story was well drawn out and even if it turned out to be nothing but a false emergency, it did its job in as far as shaking Jill and Chet and giving them both a much needed attitude adjustment.

Aside from the well-written plot, conflict and resolution, the secondary characters are scene stealers too starting with Jill's bestfriend Mel, who is so outspoken she probably haven't heard the word filter in her life. And Chet's ex-girlfriend, Gail "The Barracuda" was so vicious and irritating she perfectly contrasted Jill's girl-next-door character. All I can do is gush over this latest CWarner novel and try my best to push it to y'all. And Chet is a hottie. Yes at times I wanted to shake him a little for being such a jerk but at the same time I see that some things from the past have caused him to become cautious of relationships and scared of being hurt again.

His ex is a conniving biatch! Certain situations show Jill and Chet that there is more to the other person than meets the eye.

I did like the cooking theme, and one of my favorite scenes is Jill teaching Chet to cook.

This was a quick, pleasant and a bit predictable read. There are some nice steamy moments. It's perfect for when you are looking for something light and easy to read. Aug 14, Samantha March rated it really liked it. I knew right going into this book the romance aspect would definitely deliver, as the sparks were shooting between Jill and Chet upon first glance of each other. I really liked Jill as our heroine, a feisty young woman who was independent and wanted to succeed on her right and not just take hand outs.

Chet is a little mysterious at first — a wealthy businessman with a big heart but who has trust issues with women after burned in a previous relationship. The chemistry between the two is hot, and I just wanted to beg them to get together already! I got a touch frustrated with the seemingly constant stop and go of their relationship, but if you are a romance fan I definitely recommend this one! May 30, Nanettez rated it liked it. Jill is beginning her dream, but one little slip up after another is going to bring everything crashing down. Fast forward to now. Jill's best friend is setting her up on a blind date. Oh, but it does get much better! Who should walk in as her blind date is none other than the man that started her downward spiral. His kisses were lethal- on her heart, and unfortunately, on her career.

Yes, I'm gasping sadly over this too. How could a man that gives such passionate kisses derail everything? It's a bit tragic, and yes, I'm being melodramatic, I know. Sexy, a bit mysterious and a very generous man. At times, he's a bit touch and go, because his inner trail of thinking drives me nuts at times. Though I don't hold it against him too badly, because I understand his past. He guards his heart with the walls so thick that I wonder if anyone would ever get through. He's a softie, we learn as he wants to help Jill out, and we learn a bit more about him and the people that work at his house.

As for Jill, she's a strong woman. She's had it stacked against her, suddenly her career is on the line after the incident with Chet, and she can't seem to get her foot in the door.
