In my book, "For all I know" means a very different thing, from "To the best of my knowledge" because the latter is used when the speaker believes it to be true but allows for the possibility that he may be wrong, while the former suggests that the speaker does not believe it, but that he suggests it as an absurd possibility that could not be contradicted by the facts he has on hand thus demonstrating how little he actually knows.
