The shows were great and it is obvious how hard the entertainers work for perfection - they are often seen practicing at various areas of the resort. This was my 5th trip to this resort and the 6th trip is in the works. Thank you all Barcelo staff! Everyone attentive and friendly.
I definitely will plan to return and bring others. My travel Agent recommended this location. It began with 4 people and our group became They enjoyed their stay as well. We enjoyed our stay at Barcelo, Ixtapa. We chose to upgrade to Premium level once we arrived on site, since we had done this at a Nuevo Vallarta property and had been so impressed by the service this level provided us.
We were greeted by Sandy who quickly got us signed up for the Premium level and since our room wasn't ready we went to the Premium lounge for a bite to eat. We ordered our food at We were not impressed. This was not a good start to our one week stay. Our room was on the 11th floor, had a beautiful view of the resort and ocean. The room was standard and clean. The 3 a la carte restaurants were all good.
The buffets for all three meals had a great selection. The staff on the site were all great, very attentive and wanting to please. We did have issues with the phone in our room, on Tuesday night the phone would ring, one ring only, all night long. Wedsnesday morning I reported this, then again on Thursday morning and it wasn't fixed by the time we left on Friday. We had to take the phone off the cradle the last two nights of our stay. We tried the Premium lounge for dinner one night, and that was good.
We tried it again for lunch half way thru our stay and ended up walking out after a 45 minute wait. The front line staff were always friendly and attentive, but somewhere along the line, communication broke down.

This was very frustrating as we believe we did not get full value from our upgrade to Premium, and are very disappointed by this. Off site, to the left of the resort, we found a great massage place for a lot cheaper than the resort. We stayed here at least a dozen times and it was a favorite but when we last stayed they said something with the shower head was found broken and they wanted us to pay for it when we were checking out.
It was defective and was not our fault. I was so insulted, they lost very good loyal customers. We stayed total of 7 days this month in Sept. We highly recomend you ask for Ramon when eating your meals. Excellent service from Ramon. Christina, and Joshua as well. The food service mangers were always very helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean and well kept.

Trent, I think The Downward Spiral is a masterpiece. Few other works of art so effectively communicate the environment, the emotions, the descent into nihilism that Downward Spiral conveys. To me, it deserves a place among classics like Nausea and The Stranger. What led to your choice of opening bands on this tour? Is this something that you anticipate doing at some point?
And on that note, I know at the last AMA you mentioned the TV series still being in the works, is there any updates on that since then? If there is going to be a followup album, would it be safe to assume that these two projects would be expected around the same time? Thanks for all the music over the year. I can honestly say that each time I go to a NIN show it is right up there in the running for the best show I have ever been to, and it's hard to decide between them for different reasons. My question is this: What inspired the "lord my path has gone astray" in Find my Way? The lyrics are obviously a huge shift from the days of Heresy "Your God is dead". I know that it's a very different side of you coming through than the downward spiral a parallel, in some ways , but the direct statement made to the "lord" seems like it might be significant in the overall subject material of hesitation marks.
As a side note, the stage lighting for Find my Way was absolutely stunning- well done. I understand The Fragile reissue has become the new Tapeworm, but I was wondering if there are plans to spread the release across multiple formats, i. I know that things didn't pan out between you and id Software during DOOM 3 which was also around the time things went sour with John Malm.
