Despite her efforts, no one is willing to help her. When she meets Iain she Ian is on the brink of achieving everyone he has been working hard towards in his career. When she meets Iain she has no idea who he is and the pull of attraction between is too hard to ignore.

One night of incredibly mind numbing sex takes them both by surprise. It was more than either of them could have ever imagined. He needs to track her down again because he cannot ignore what he is feeling for her. Ian knows that if he agrees to help her he is putting everything he has worked for on the line. However, maybe this is a way he can redeem himself for all the bad decisions he has made in his life thus far.

I began reading this in my lunch break at work and then came home to read a few more chapters before dinner. That did not happen! Several hours later I was done, I could not put this down. The storyline for this book is one of my favourites sort of reads and I was completely invested in all the characters right from the start. It definitely has echoes of Cinderella weaved throughout which was really fun. Another fabulous book from this amazing lady!

This book seems to be a fight from the beginning: It is angsty, emotional, passionate, suspenseful, and full of surprises.

Ian was rough around the edges and it took a bit for me to really get a feel for him.

See a Problem?

He was so damaged and had up so many walls. But seeing some of those chip away was just so significant. He really grew on me. And by the end of it, I adored him and them together. It is a story about sacrifice and what is really important in life and the healing power of hope and love. I loved getting more with Jace, Faith, Bailey, Mack, and the new side characters introduced in this one.

I am really excited that Mack is getting a book next. I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. From the beginning All of Me will have you wanting more! It's angsty, torturous, and a bit heartbreaking! Ian wears this facade; he's cold, indifferent, arrogant, ruthless, callous.

He shows no emotion towards others. His goal is to rise to the top and become the best damn lawyer Charleston has to offer. But one encounter with Grace; this broken beauty has his walls slowly cracking. He does not want to care about her, yet he feels like he needs to protect her. Instant, consuming, and und 4. Grace feels the same way and it terrifies her. These two broken souls try to fight it but it is in vain! Grace is the healing balm to calm the rage within Ian. Ultimately, she balances him out. Their relationship gradually develops with time. A lot is at stake and Ian is willing to break the rules in order to be with his Angel. Let's just stand up and applaud AL Jackson because she has written such a beautiful, lyrical, torturous, and at moments dark love romance!

I took a chance on this series and it was worth it!

Bring on Mack's book! Nov 19, Betul rated it really liked it Shelves: She has a very poetic way of telling a story that appeals to me. Even though All of Me isn't my favorite by her, I still enjoyed it. I liked the characters and I was interested to see how the story would develop. I wanted to see how Ian and Grace would finally be together.

It definitely wasn't easy and there were many obstacles that prevented them to be happy. I have to admit that I liked the second half of the story more than I did the first. In my opinion that is when the story really picked up and it got more intriguing. I also loved the hint of suspense that was added to the story. Amy creates great villains, and I secretly hope that Amy one day will write a full-on romantic suspense series.

I did have a couple of issues with how the story started. I would've shuffled some things around in the story, for example I was expecting Ian to be Grace's attorney earlier on in the story. So that the forbidden aspect was present from the start. The insta-lust was a bit too much, I personally am not a big fan of it. I also wanted more of a build-up to Ian and Grace having sex.

Ian isn't open to be in a committed relationship because of the things that happened in his past, and are still happening in his current life. Which shows that when you meet the one, you can't really resist what your heart wants. My heart broke for Ian, he really did have a very bad childhood.

The flashbacks showing this were absolutely heartbreaking. I am looking forward to Mack's story, I can't wait to see who he ends up with. REview and rating closer to the Release day. So fierce and instant I'd known it could lead to nowhere good. So much pain and passion. He warned her away and pulled her in at the same time.

He knew he didn't deserve her, but he couldn't stop wanting her. There's not much I can tell you because the author is purposely vague in her synopsis, not mentioning the names of the characters. I can tell you that I met him in More of "Attraction. I can tell you that I met him in More of You. He is beyond broken and very determined to accomplish his goal of reaching the top of his profession. He is a loner, not willing to open himself up to relationships. I confess, I was plotting murder in my mind. So immersed in their lives that rage fueled my thoughts and I was ready to throw my shovel in the trunk and say to hell with the fact that I look bad in stripes. I would prefer a TeamForbidden t-shirt, but convicts can't be choosy, right?

Although he rose out of the ashes, he carries the weight of guilt at what he's become. But when Grace Dearborne comes crashing into his life, things will never be the same for him. She's in the middle of mu The second standalone in the Confessions of the Heart series features is no less dramatic then first book, More of You. She's in the middle of much drama with her ex, which is exactly what brings them together. His interactions with her kids are wonderful and only serve to encourage him to double down on helping her, even if it puts everything he'd worked for at risk.

There are some great twist in the story as Ian works to uncover dirt on her ex. There are some frightful moments as well that left me quiet anxious. It's fun to see Jace and Faith make an appearance and once again the children are some of the best characters. Their interactions with Ian warms my heart and do much to soften this intense young man. This is a wonderful series and I'm happy to recommend it.

Nov 29, Imani Enamored Reads rated it it was amazing. You know how sometimes you think you have a fav book boyfriend from one authors work and then every book they publish that book boyfriend changes to the most recently published one? Ian and All of Me are just everything. Everything you could possibly expect when you go into a book wanting to get lost to escape reality for a bit. All of Me did that and so much more! The characters, the premise, and the developm This.

Plot twists that slap you in the face and lust that makes you fan yourself at every turn. I expect it every time and it always gives her books that something extra. This book is for everyone who never stops putting up a fight for something they believe in. Ian is fiercely determined to be the best. He's so focused on this quest that he's ruthless. He's also without love in his life aside from his brother and his brother's new family. Then he meets Grace.

They have an immediate attraction and suddenly Ian's focus just might be shifting. But it'll only be what he deems it to be because he still has his quest to be the best, to never be where he was before. Can Grace make him feel again? Can she and her beautiful children open up his heart? Ian has an Ian is fiercely determined to be the best. Ian has an unspeakably brutal backstory, has done things he's not proud of, things he may have to pay for someday soon. But as he falls deeper with Grace, he's never been more sure that he wants to be a good man, be the hero she and her children deserve.

The question is, what will he have to sacrifice to save them? Will he ever get the chance to be that hero they already think he is?

Jackson's writing is poetic and lyrical, and that's never been more true than in All of Me. Ian and Grace's story flows across the pages, never relenting in its intensity, in Ian's intensity. And the way these two come together and fall in love is just, well, beautiful. Ian's intensity and focus is the perfect complement to Grace's angelic vulnerability and big heart.

The way she brought out the best in him, the way she opened up his heart was nothing short of magical. I remember being intrigued by Ian in More of You , and he more than lived up to the mystery, the intriguing glimpses back in Jace's story. I cannot wait for Mack's story next! ARC via author for an honest review. Full review posted on Live Through Books Blog. Nov 27, AJ rated it really liked it Shelves: I loved the story, I love the characters, their journey, and their amazing, beautiful, chemistry-filled romance.

But I struggled with the writing in this one. This is the second book in the Confessions of the Heart series. Ian is 4 stars Wow, what an intense book! Ian is the younger brother of Jace hero of book 1 , however this book can easily standalone. Ian is a bit of a dark horse. He has no time for relationships or any kind of commitment, and has hardened his heart to love, family or a connection to anybody outside of his brother and his family, and his best friend, Mack.

Grace is a woman at the end of her rope. Sweet and soft, she has been hurt badly by all that life has thrown at her and she is in a world of trouble, the extent of which is revealed slowly throughout the book. She is seeking help for her situation when she runs into Ian.

John Legend -All of Me (lyrics)

But while Ian is all-too eager to explore their chemistry, Grace has been burned badly before and she refuses to open herself up to that kind of pain again. He arched a brow, voice so rough and low. They can no longer explore their sizzling chemistry, and the fact that they already have must remain a secret….

I loved the surprises that popped up, I loved the way the storyline twisted and turned, and I loved the growing relationship between Ian and Grace. I have no control when it comes to you. I want to explore every inch of your body. Taste and lick and fuck. For me, it was because of the writing - mostly with the short, staccato, melodramatic monologuing. It is through the whole book, and both characters did it, and it really broke up the flow of the writing for me. A tumble over the edge of oblivion. A freefall into ruin. But there was something about her that whispered and soothed and sang.

Or maybe what I was really hearing was her soul screaming for help. He moaned this low, sexy sound. While my heart sped and awareness spun. A vibration in the air. A low hum running a circuit through my body. He watched me with that fierce, unrelenting gaze. This is a really long book, and that choppiness messed with the flow for me. They have chemistry, we get it! Again, we get it! The repetition became frustrating when their feelings had already expressed so clearly and emotively.

But even with those issues, I was still able to appreciate the story, and I loved watching Ian and Grace pull together, fight to right wrongs and, against all odds, fall for each other absolutely and completely. I grabbed her hand and splayed it across the erratic drumming of my chest. How am I supposed to live without you now? What I want and who I am? The chemistry continues to sizzle, the sexy time is intense and passionate, and the love story is beautiful and so emotional.

We are sorry...

The whole story is full of feels, with a whole lot of sweet moments that absolutely melted me! Jace, Faith and their family from the first book are a part of the story, and I loved catching up with them and watching the new dynamics as Grace is brought into their world. It leads to some very special scenes. I particularly loved the ending of this one. It was surprising, but so right for the story, and I loved the way it all played out. And I finished this one with a big grin on my face, and even a happy tear or two.

So yes, very mixed. An Advanced Review Copy was generously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Nov 27, Sarah rated it it was amazing Shelves: If I could give this book 10 stars I would!! Jackson is one of my favorite authors, but this book I don't know if I can write the review that this book deserves. I was up wayyyy too late last night finishing it - under the covers, crying, holding my breath, praying for this story to end the way it should, and I am mourning that it is over today. It blew me away.

Ian is now one of my all-time favorite book heroes, and it will be hard to top him. He is so beautifully broken - a danger If I could give this book 10 stars I would!! He is so beautifully broken - a dangerous man with a battered soul. He believes himself to be the devil, when in fact, he is truly a hero. I first met Ian in his brother's book, More of You, and I knew he would be trouble that I wanted every part of in his book.

Jackson did a tremendous job of creating a character with such a tragic past that weaves into his present. His self-loathing - his cocky and condescending attitude - his drive to make it to the top and not care about anyone in his path to get there I found myself rolling my eyes at him, and wanting him to sweep me away for the night at the same time. He is all sorts of sex in a suit and he knows it. I absolutely loved the fact that when he met Grace for the first time, his world completely turned on its axis at the sight of her, and when she actually says "no" to him, I found myself laughing at his reactions and cheering her on.

This man needed a challenge, and was dumb-struck it was actually happening to him.
