I was drawn to this book because the hero, John was blind. There are very few books out where the hero has a disability. Of the ones that I have read, I liked them. That was the same for Bound to You.
John's disability really didn't hinder him at all. He pretty much does exactly what a man with normal eyesight could do. This ability includes being totally blind yet able to hike in a dangerous forest I liked it. This ability includes being totally blind yet able to hike in a dangerous forest full of sinkholes. This sinkhole is how Jennifer and John end up spending a lot of quality time together; underground in the sinkhole itself. It was dirty and dank and I could smell the earth and dampness as the area underground was being described.
Their environment certainly didn't discourage their attraction nor their conversation.

It was fitting that Jennifer's stark fear of the dark ended up being the trigger to having John comfort her through the night. Comfort is a great motivator to get close. John and Jen definitely used that time to discover their sexual attraction to one another.
Who knew being underground in a sinkhole could be so sexy? There were a few things that raised my eyebrows, like Enzo the wonder dog catching a rabbit and tossing it down to them in the sinkhole for dinner, but all in all, a good read. I did wish for a bit longer tie up at the end. It was really quick ending and after the entire story had John and Jen in one stationary spot, I would have liked to have read a bit more about their interaction after they were rescued. The characters were really likable, and it was a pretty refreshing to read something that wasn't so freaking cliche. The past of the two main characters were different. For example, the hero didn't have a past of abuse. And the roots of the heroines fears isn't because or rape or abuse either. Instead, their past were really different compared to the cl actual rating: Instead, their past were really different compared to the cliche stories floating within the new adult genre, and the personalities of the characters were pretty different as well.
I loved the problem and setting of the story, it was very strong and just different.

Overall, I enjoyed the novel, however my only complaint is the ending. If only it was I don't know, more explanatory like the beginning of the novel? The ending kind of three me off, because it was such a rush. I understand it was just a novella, but if only the ending could've been the same pace as the beginning and the middle of the story.

It's hard to put into words as to why this book didn't quite work for me. I could say that the accident that puts the two characters together and the quickness that they jump into sex was a bit ridiculous. But that's not it, really. Laura Kaye's Hearts in Darkness had an equally ridiculous setup but I liked both characters. It's not that I didn't like them, I just didn't connect with them. I get that this is a smutty novella. There is only A well written, short and smutty tale.
There is only so much character development you can get into based on the limitation of the word count. I guess the problem was me. Perhaps my biggest problem for me was the price for what I thought was really short and a tad shallow.
