He graduates and finds himself thrown into a fast paced Infantry unit gearing up for deployment. That deployment comes and they are tasked in one of the most hostile areas of Baghdad with little to guide them other than the will to survive. The author of the journal struggles with the horrors of war, the fear of losing his friends, and the darker side of human emotion.
A mistake in judgment leads to the breaking point and he must face the outcome of that choice. It All Fades is a journal of a young man wanting to be more than himself, willing to give his all to belong to the brotherhood of an army Infantryman, willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for his brotherhood and honor those who fought before him.
Additional information
It is an insight, from his decision in high school to join the army and through his military training and subsequent mission in Iraq, of the effects of combat. If you are interested in joining the military or, like me, just want a better understanding of what our military personnel endure to protect our freedoms, I highly recommend this book.

I can't put it down. Deborah Chancellor 64 years old and very thankful to all who have served. I follow a lot of authors on twitter and buy their books because I like new reads. I'm glad I found this one, because the book just draws you in. American Armored Combat, to Today.
